Small Bus Tours NYC — Attraction in New York

I did extensive research on planning our trip to NYC. We had limited time, we were driving a car, we wanted a good deal on a hotel without paying parking and free breakfast. I called SBT to try to iron out some plans and to see if I was going to book a tour with this company. I was certain that I wanted a bus tour, but there are SO many Bus tour companies in NYC, I had to narrow down the search. When I called, I spoke with Farai, the owner right away. I stated my concerns and he suggested a hotel in NJ where I would receive all that I had wanted and if I took the all day tour, Small Bus Tours would pick us up at the hotel and drop us off at the end of the day. I booked online and Farai called me the afternoon before the tour, to let me know when they would pick us up at the hotel. Guy, the driver, and Farai, the owner and tour guide was very prompt, friendly and professional. I had been to NYC three other times but on foot and have NEVER seen it like this before! Farai had endless knowledge about the layout of the city, points of interest, best bargains and places to buy things, places to eat on a budget. He let us know where the good spots were to use a restroom if we needed one. It was very relaxing and enjoyable and we didn't have to worry about a thing, we just lived in the moment and enjoyed the city. We even stumbled upon two weddings taking place in different areas. We never knew what might unfold! I felt like I was living the life of a real New Yorker who knew how to maneuver and survive the city:) He had extra umbrellas and bottled water for us to drink and a place to charge our phones. He got off the bus and walked with us to give us more history and knew the perfect spots to take amazing photos. As guy dropped us off at the end of the day, I felt very satisfied and grateful for the knowledge and service we were provided. I feel that I can finally cross NYC off my bucket list and continue on with other places of interest. I'm originally from Cuba and had only seen NYC in the movies. I went with my girlfriend and my mother, who is in her late 60's and speaks limited English. We only had a couple of days to see NYC and my concern was that I needed to accommodate my mom and although she can walk fine, I did not want her to overdue it. Guy was an excellent driver and Farai an amazing owner and tour guide. The bus was very comfortable and they had complimentary water and a place for us to charge our phones. We booked the all day tour so we could see all points of interest and get to know the city. Guy, an amazing driver, picked us up at our hotel. As Farai explained the history to me, I was able to translate to my mother so she could gain knowledge too. He was very courteous and patient helping her get off and on the bus, holding doors open for us and crossing us on the street. He kept the tour at her pace and never made us feel rushed. Farai knew the perfect places to take photos and had so much knowledge, not only about the history, but also, where to shop, where to get good deals, where to eat, the complete layout, he really knows this city. Guy and Frankie are the BEST. My family had the pleasure of touring with them on May 8, 2019 and we had a ball. From the time we got on the bus, Guy made us feel comfortable, as 4 generations of my family took the tour. My grandmother, who is 91 and requires a wheelchair was able to truly enjoy the tour, as we all did, thanks to Guy and Frankie's fabulous skills of showing us the city sights, giving us amazing details, and lots of laughs. My mother, grandmother, and my daughters can not stop talking about how much they enjoyed this tour, but even moreso, the kindness, knowledge and professionalism of Guy and Frankie. The ability to get off the bus and tour with a guide and then get back onto the same bus is priceless if you are in need of an overview of this beautiful and busy city or have members in you party who have limited mobility.
