I went there on a Saturday night 2 months ago. After trying to call for over an hour to reserve a table, I gave up and showed up in person. The phone had a busy tone and couldn't get through. Once I show up there with my wife and child, I was greeted by the manager. He said the wait was about 30 mins to an hour. I mentioned to him that we had an issue trying to call, so he went over to the bar to ask what happened. He came back within 2 minutes, I thought he was coming with an answer, but instead completely ignored us and our issue, to greet an older couple that came in. Seems like he knew who they were, and directed them right to the bar. Feeling completely ignored and hungry, my wife and I decided to leave and grab a bite some where else. The manager was completely rude. After working in the restaurant and bar business for over 5 years, I know how to treat and serve customers. Whether they are regulars or not, I made sure they all felt welcome. This was not the case here. I was excited to see such an establishment open around my neighborhood, and anxious to try their tapas and wine, being a wine enthusiast. Unfortunately, after that discourteous treatment, I don't think I'd ever attempt to spend my hard earned money at such an establishment that treat potential clients in...
Read moreWhat a beautiful restaurant and winery in a residential, safe, and walkable neighborhood in Jackson Heights. We found easy parking across the street. The winery was intimate and tastefully decorated with a huge selection of different wines - rose, whites, reds - from different places in the world. What a rare gem! We had a great tasting and left with a delicious of bottle of rose.
We then had delicious tapas, wine, dessert, and Spanish soda in the restaurant next door. Patrick and Francisco were beyond friendly and treated us like family. The tapas were so artfully plated and individually so special. Everything so perfectly seasoned - not too heavy, not too salty - perfect with wine pairings. We wish we had bigger stomachs to try everything! We also just loved seeing how so many people were regulars here, this is a testament to how excellent the service is here and the consistent quality. There is also an outdoor patio that felt very cozy, and I can’t to check it out next time. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. They also have a Manhattan location that we want to check out. Such a cool, cozy, intimate vibe from a neighborhood jewel. We had the greatest time here, and you bet that...
Read moreMy wife and I had been trying to get into addictive wine and tapas since Dec 15th 2019, the day of our anniversary, but they had a private event that day. We then tried again some time last year during the middle pandemic, some how we were hopeful it was going to be open, but when we got there the door was shut close! This past weekend we went to emack ice cream in the city to try it. Read my previous post about the experience. My wife said she wanted to get a drink. We contemplated going to chelsea to some place called lulu's on 19th st, but decided to stay local, and headed back to #jacksonheights on the 7 train to go to addictive wine and tapas. We had a blast! We couldn't have landed in a better place. The service was great , they addressed our concerns, the owners were present and very freindly. The place has great atmosphere, and the food is good. I recommend the platter with the cheeses and cold cuts, and bottle a of wine. I totally...
