We're from Canada, and had the opportunity to dine at this cozy wonderful eatery. The food was fresh, innovative, creative. But the best part was the maitre'd, Alex. He came over with a smile, and offered his expertise to pair a wine with the dinner we had ordered. It was a wonderful suggestion. We weren't rushed, and felt like I was overseas in some Italian small family restaurant. One month later we needed to book a "Pidyon Haben, a family gathering of 60 people. We chose this restaurant because of our previous experience. Alex came through once again. The fixed menu was plentiful, varied, the food fresh and delicious, fish light, the dessert was delectable. Coffee were hot and strong. Once again. Alex suggested several different wines. The wine selection is not from two or three varieties, but a mix of kosher Italian French Israeli wines. We all really felt comfortable and enjoyed the ambiance. No one wanted to leave when the party was over. A shout out to his staff as well, who were most gracious, respectful and shared in our happiness; (not the typical New York experience). My wife and I only have the best to say about this place. Highly recommended for a either a quick bite or a wonderful dinner. Ask for Alex and he will suggest delicious wine for your dinner. Take your wife( husband) out for a date; this place make you feel that...
Read moreI came here for Sunday night dinner with 3 of my friends. Reservations were easily made online.
I ordered the Impossible burger entrée which I liked came with fries. I ordered it without cheese as I do not consume dairy and it was overall pretty good. I wish the onions it came with were sautéed as opposed to the French's onions it seemed like they used. Pickles on the side was a classic touch. I did not enjoy the bun though, it was piece-y and dry. Huge portion of well-seasoned fries and overall the price for my meal was mostly fair considering the ambiance & service.
My friend ordered the corn ribs appetizer and they were tasty and I was glad I was able to try the trending dish.
Ambiance is very nice- I loved the chic yet cozy décor down to the cloth napkins that seemed to be carefully selected by a seasoned professional decorator. The only thing I'd say constructively is I wish the music was lowered just a tad- as I had a slight hard time hearing my friends and felt like I had to yell to converse.
The service is golden here. Every person from the hostess to the different waiters to the manager/owner(?) were so friendly and welcoming. The staff was understanding and meticulous with my dietary restrictions which I always appreciate. I wish all restaurants displayed this caliber of customer...
Read moreWorst restaurant I’ve ever been too. I came with a group of 7 girls at our reservation time and did not like were we were sat so I asked to be moved to a table with the exact amount of people and they said that’s reserved, why when we are literally the same amount of people and also had a reservation. Before we even sit down we are told we need to leave at 8:15. Who tell’s customers with a reservation that they have a time limit before they even have a chat to sit down, ruined the whole mood. Then they immediately start rushing us to order. We barely have time to breathe and take a seat and we are already told we need to pick something as if we looked at the menu online or something. Then we found out they were doing this to everyone in the restaurant and that everyone had a time limit. They brought all our food at once. My plate had sweet sauce and pizza and salad and corn ribs all squished together. We can barely move with all those stuff on the table at once. Then because we had no room sauce got knocked over my friends dress and what dripping through the table. The waiter started cleaning for like 30 seconds and said it’s the best he could do while the floor was still covered and dripping. Worst experience of my life. We came to celebrate a birthday and it would have been a better birthday if we...
