BenSimon Salon & Day Spa — Local services in New York

Literally AWFUL! My family came to get our hair done for a family wedding...my daughters asked for specific styles, only to have eyes rolled at them when huge bobby pins were sticking out the sides of their heads and hairdo's looked awful. I, myself, asked for a blow out with a few waves at the end for body. I've had it done many times at other places. The guy washed my thick, waist length hair, did not put enough conditioner in and then tore at my hair, trying to comb it out. He then blew it dry and rolled it in giant rollers and left me alone for an HOUR! I didn't even know where he went! I finally got his attention and he said, "you should leave the pinned curls in until your event and then just let them out" I replied, "no, I can't just let giant curls out and hope for the best" and so he begrudgingly took them out. It looked TERRIBLE and completely unprofessional. My child could have done my hair better. I sat there for a total of 2 hours for absolutely the worst look I ever had and when I told him it was awful, he kept saying "no, no" and I was livid. My girls and I, and my mother (who in all fairness looked nice, but only had a blowout on her short, thin hair) left very very unhappy. When my stylist told Avi (the "Boss") about my displeasure, he didn't even attempt to come over and talk to me. Terrible service, terrible styling...no professionalism whatsoever and certainly no care as to whether someone leaves happy. They simply want to be done with you and take your money. My mom paid over $400 for this CRAP! I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK. Shame on you for treating us that way! I went home in tears and so did my daughters. I them washed all of our hair and ended up doing all our hair WAY BETTER than you did! Sorry for the rant, but it was THAT...

I have been going to BenSimon on a weekly basis for the past year and prior to that I had been a fairly regular customer every few months or so. I recieve amazing service while I am there.

Nails: Karina is my go to girl for manicures & pedicures. She is amazing. My nails dont chip for up to a whole week! That is a BIG deal for me!

Hair: Murat does all my hair cuts & blowdrys on a weekly or bi-monthly basis. He is amazing. I have been going to him for years but in the past 6-8 months he has switched over to BenSimon (my luck!), so now I dont need to travel to two seperate salon's.

Color: My prefrence is Mike, he always get my color on target for what I want. He has also comlpeted and installed my extensions over the summer, which I am very satisfied with!

I would recomment this Salon to anyone living in South Brooklyn. Several of my friends now are also frequent clients...

I’ve literally been coming here since high school and I graduated in 2010!!! I come here for my quarterly haircuts, but I mainly come here for the keratin hair treatment. My hair is a bush, hard to manage, frizzy and as curly as can be. I come here every 2-3 months for the keratin treatment and it makes my hair supermodel status. (You could come less, but I’m just so into my hair that I need to be here more) Anyways, I’ve gone to a few other places randomly throughout the years to just try out something new, but I ALWAYS end up coming back here, which says a lot bec a lot of places do the keratin treatments but i find that Ben simons lasts best in my hair.
