So, I went here with a few friends. The place looks really preaty. Food wise, it's OK, nothing special, the ramen taste good, but the prices are too much for basically water and cheap noodles. It shouldn't be more than $18 (reality check you can get delicious Morrocanmeat soup for $10 at Jerusalem steakhows, and they will give you unlimited salads and bread for free), and they sell for $29. Their salmon dumplings are terrible tasting and salty. Their cani salad was not good. In the up hand Their French fries are preaty good but that's not Japanese so doesn't count. Over all food wise the prices are very hight for what they offer, could be cause they spent a lot of money making it preaty, but even before when it wasn't so nice and didn't have so many options the sushi wasn't as good and the prices where elevated. Service, well, they fall behind. If someone is saying a dish is really bad and you are restaurant that is making up high prices cause you can get away with it, then atleast listen to your client if they are saying out of 10 dishes one is way worse than the other and automatically take it off the bill or ofer the costumer an exchange (atleast that's what restaurants that care of their costumers do) don't wait till the party of 7 people have to tell you to take it off. And then their lack of being able to take more than 3 credit card payments, literally they didn't want to take 4 credit cards
So suggestion for those going with friends, make reservations for 3 in each table and ask for tables to be close (cause the place is either ways so small your eating with the table next to you) and like that you can divide your bill acuretly.
Is it worth it to go?. Unfortunately for us that keeps Kosher our options are not great. So I suggest that unless you want ramen noodles, everything else you can get at any other sushi restaurant cause their appetizers are not at all great. Except for the edamame, but that is frozen, and you can buy a big bag with 3 portions for $5 at bingo and sprinkle salt on them. So no, it's not worth it to go unless your trying to impress people and for that you might as well go to a steak house, I literally paid $74 for 2 noodle soups nothing else. I could have gotten a steak at Le'marais in the city, with salad and...
Read moreThis place cannot seem to get there act together! It is run by children and seem to have a streak of screwing up my order a lengthy four consecutive times. I requested to speak to the manager, but was denied by the high schooler behind the counter. I insisted to speak with the manager a second time in order to express my frustration and they finally were able to get a hold of him, also a kid. As I told him my issue, forgetting to cook the rolls, he seemed perplexed and unknowing of what to do. I even explicitly reiterated the words "cook everything" when ordering over the phone multiple times to avoid such issue. As they were fixing my roll and paid about $38, I thought I was finished with them, but to my surprise I was wrong. They then handed me a bill that said I paid $40 instead of the $38 because they now had to cook my roll which should of been cooked initially!
At this point I had enough! I calmly proclaimed in front of the entire restaurant staff that I will never ever step foot into that place any more in my entire life. I told them that since the charged me extra to cook my rolls, they have "cooked" my business too. I even expressed to them to remember my face and that they won't be seeing me anymore. I then walked out and no one seemed to care.
Bottom line, the place is like a bad high school with kids looking to screw around. They don't take customer service seriously at all or care to help them out. I really hope they see this and perhaps take a lesson from this...
