We came here for a quick bite — and left very disappointed. It was extremely hot inside with no air conditioning, only a few fans running, while it was over 86°F outside. This is definitely not a place where you can sit down and enjoy a meal during the summer.
We ordered one shawarma, a small soda, and a salad (which we didn’t even ask for, but were told it was included). Turns out, they charged us $2 for the salad anyway. Fine, we got the salad — but how were we supposed to eat it? They didn’t give us any utensils or even a single napkin. Very unprofessional.
The price was completely unjustified — $26 for a small meal. We usually get shawarma at another place that tastes much better, is less greasy, and only costs $12.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
Update in response to owner’s reply:
Thank you for your response, but I’d like to clarify a few things.
According to the receipt, I was charged $21.99 for one chicken shawarma in laffa, which already included hummus, Israeli salad, and tehina. There was no mention of a separate salad in the order, yet we were given one and told it was “included.” If that’s the case, why was it served in a separate container and without any utensils or napkins?
I was also charged $2 for a can of soda and $0.72 as a card payment fee — and no one informed us about this charge beforehand. It’s a small amount, but it feels like a hidden fee, and that’s frustrating.
In total, we paid $26.84 for one shawarma, a drink, and a salad we didn’t ask for and couldn’t even eat properly.
As for the atmosphere — we didn’t see a single air conditioner, and it honestly felt like a sauna inside. It was extremely uncomfortable to sit and eat.
I understand that kosher food tends to be more expensive, but I’ve been to other kosher restaurants in Brooklyn where the shawarma was more affordable, better quality, and the service much more professional. This experience fell far short.
I appreciate the apology, but I stand by my original review and would not recommend this place, especially in the summer when it’s hot and even the basics — like utensils and clear pricing —...
Read moreWith all due respect, this place isn’t even worth rating. I walked in and asked for a plate of Shawarma. One can of soda. And the guy at the register looks at me and says that’ll be $32. I asked him is this a dinner plate? And he pulls out a 1 quart container and shows me what it will be. With prices like these I could buy two chickens and make it myself. If you’re having issues with vendors, if you’re being overcharged, if you’re deciding to gouge customers all on your own, whatever this could possibly be there’s absolutely no reason why Shawarma today should cost more than $15. This is obscene.
Edit to response: Your prices reflect the cost of goods with your inadequate vendor agreements along with your high rent. It’s either that or you’re deliberately greedy and gouging customers. Your food has been eaten for decades. You’ve been around all my life. It’s never been astounding. You don’t have nor will you ever get a Michelin star rating, so let’s not kid ourselves. I worked in the restaurant business. You don’t have a chef, or a su chef or a saucier on staff. You aren’t fine dining, nor do you provide any wait services. Your prices are over inflated for one or more reasons and however you justify it, it’s clear. All I did was call three vendors to get prices on kosher poultry and I learned that part of it. There are ways around this. Being competitive along with good food is the corner stone of your type of business and it’s that fort part that the owners here have clearly lacked. Easier to just raise...

I'm obsessed with this place! The food is absolutely fantastic! The Shawarma and falafel are cooked to perfection, and the flavors are incredible. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. But what really sets this place apart is the amazing service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. They make you feel like family!
Special shoutout to Benny, one of the managers, who goes above and beyond to ensure every customer leaves happy. His enthusiasm and passion for the food are contagious, and he's always willing to offer recommendations or accommodate special requests. Benny, you're the best! 10% discount to EMS!
The atmosphere is cozy and clean, making it a great spot for a quick bite or a gathering with friends and family. I've tried many kosher Shawarma and falafel places, but this one is hands-down the best. Don't miss out on this gem! Five stars isn't enough - I'd give it ten...
