Crown Palace — Restaurant in New York

It's definitely not the same anymore. I've been going to Crown Palace for some 25 years ... From when the original owner Pam was there . Then a new owner came in ... Candy is one of the owners, food definitely different be good ... Then I recently went there on Saturday 9/4/22 ... Kept asking if Candy was in , was told she is on vacation... I didn't believe this and the food proved I was right! Totally different chef , totally different food from the dim sum to the butterfly shrimp to the $45 duck !! I have never been served duck that was sliced so thin like boar's head ham! Buried in so much lettuce... I asked over and over again if the business was sold again and they said no ... Impossible whole cooking staff different. Won't be going back anytime soon. Just tell the customers the truth... If I'm wrong CANDY will be back with the original chefs ... Don't think...

It was awesome, the crispy shredded chicken was so crispy, this place never letted me down. the chicken wings are always so fresh! The pork buns are always sold out because they’re so good!! The chicken and Broccoli were soooo good! I asked for soft vegetables and they made it very soft! the egg rolls are so chewy! I have high hopes for this place! The food is amazing!! So is the customer services. If something was wrong with the food, they would explain properly if there was a mistake. The young girls were very generous! When they’re busy, they might make mistakes but that’s very normal! I work myself and completely understand these situations. Please don’t disrespect the staffs. They are working as hard as they can. The employees here treat their customers extremely disrespectfully. I ordered in and I asked for a small dipping cup of duck sauce for each egg roll for each person here. They had the audacity to charge my card more money after the total was established to tell me I get one size of duck sauce for numerous egg rolls. They did not call me, they took it upon themselves to just adjust prices and charge me more. When I called them about this they told me everyone in the house can share one sauce. That is disgusting for 6 people to be double dipping into a very small cup of duck sauce that is never even full. Then she started screaming at me that she wasnt refunding me that she would only refund me 80 cents. I sent back the entire order due to the indecency and disrespect.
