Daruma chinese & Japanese Cuisine — Restaurant in New York

I placed an order directly over the phone directly to the restaurant and paid for the order by card, I called back to change the phone number on the order , they gave me the biggest run around this was the worst customer service you can ask for, they made it so difficult just to update a phone number on the order. I called back 3 different times and spoke with 2 different managers just to get the phone number changed. At first they told me that on the tracker I can call the driver, when I called the driver it took me to Uber customer support, thats when I found out that even if you order from the restaurant directly they don’t have their own drivers, they somehow give the order to an uber driver. Now we finally got the number updated on the order the wait was extremely long and last but not least the food was horrible. Poorly flavored too many vegetables over anything. So basically.

The price was too expensive for what it is Customer service was horrible The wait/delivery time was too long The food was horrible The food was poorly flavored Too many vegetables over power the food They even did bad on the salad just pure lettuce a few shaved carrots and one small tomato the dressing was also horrible. You can just get regular chinese take out from the hood

I have gotten food twice from here. I forgot to review the first time, but I remember now.

I got the teriyaki beef, which came with a salad. Their idea of 'salad' is a lot of mostly raw onion underneath whatever meat they put. I was supposed to get medium steak, what I got was tougher than a boot and more well done than I had ever had the displeasure of eating.

The rice was bland and cold, the block was solid and went down like sludge. I actually choked on it twice. I had a single broccoli flouret and two thin slices of a carrot.

I'd also gotten a plain tuna roll, because you can't possibly mess that up, right? Wrong. So very wrong. The slices fell apart and were not rolled properly. The restaurant was empty except for two people, despite being right in front of a courthouse, they are never busy when I looked inside. Now I know why. The rice was the same as what was in the meal. While I think this little spot has potential, it’s not ready yet. Aside from the unclean appearance, I watched the front chef using his hands to scoop up rice for an order. This is common for this type of restaurant but the chef is required to wear gloves, which this one did. The problem was he wore the same glove to wipe the counter and to handle meat. He did not change the glove before scooping the rice. Another thing I noticed while walking to the sitting area, was a door in the back was left open and inside I saw a tub filled with meat sitting in red sauce, chopped meat on a counter, and a garbage can right next to both and no one in sight.
