Joyce Kilmer Park, nestled snugly in the heart of the city, may be petite in size, but it packs a delightful punch for locals and visitors alike. This charming urban oasis is a haven for families, dogs, and anyone seeking a leisurely stroll.

Though small, Joyce Kilmer Park holds its own unique charm. Its modest size makes it an ideal spot for a relaxed walk or a playful romp with your four-legged friend. In fact, it's become a paradise for dogs, with plenty of space for them to stretch their legs and make new furry friends.

For parents, it's a blessing. The kids' playground is a source of endless entertainment, and the sculptures scattered around provide a dash of creativity. The park may be small, but it sure knows how to keep the little ones happy.

Speaking of history, Joyce Kilmer Park has a story to tell. Named after the renowned poet and journalist, Joyce Kilmer, it stands as a tribute to his literary contributions. Located in the South Bronx, this green gem is conveniently close to Yankee Stadium, making it an excellent pre-game or post-game pitstop for baseball enthusiasts.

Now, here's a little concern: during my last visit, I noticed some litter scattered around. I hope the park's users can be more mindful and help keep this charming space clean and inviting for everyone.

In summary, Joyce Kilmer Park, despite its size, offers a slice of tranquility amidst the urban buzz. It's a place for kids to play, dogs to run, and folks to take a leisurely stroll. Located near Yankee Stadium, it's steeped in history and provides a peaceful escape. Let's all do our part to keep it beautiful for...

CLEAN, SAFE. I VISIT EVERY SINGLE DAY WEATHER PERMITTING, THE BIRDS AND SQUIRRELS ARE WELL FED AND THE BIRD BATH IS A DELIGHTFUL PIECE OF ART!! IT HAS BECOME MY PLACE TO MEDITATE PRAY AND HEAL.

I HAD A STROKE AND IM IN A MOTORIZED WHEELCHAIR. THE PARK HAS BECOME AMAZING THERAPY AND ITS LOVELY TO SEE THE PARK FILLED WITH LAUGHING CHILDREN PLAYING AND FAMILIES CELEBRATING MILESTONES IN N THERE FAMILY. THE DIVERSITY IS AMAZING AND ITS PEACEFUL! IV LIVED IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD FOR 48 YEARS, AND I NEVER VISITED THIS PARK! NOW ITS BECOME AN OASIS IN THE MORRISÀNIA SECTION OF THE BRONX. ITS REALLY A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO VISIT. EVERYONE TREATS THE PARK WITH RESPECT, EXCEPT THE YANKEE'S FANS!! THEY LITTER WITH THEIR BEER CANS AND FOOD GARBAGE, AND GO BACK TO WHEREVER THEY CAME FROM! THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT FOR THE BRONX OR REGARDS FOR THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE HERE. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS FOR A PARK THIS SIZE AND POPULAR BY BRONX IS RESIDENTS AND TOURIST, THERE IS BI PUBLIC REST ROOMS!! THIS IS A TERRIBLE INCONVENIENCE FOR THE ELDERLY AND DISABLED!! PEOPLE ARE RELIVING THEMSELVES IN THE BUSHES! NOT A PLEASANT...

This park has to be the most nicest park that I live by. I live right accord the street and my favorite place is the fountain, but it bums me out they never care for it, now they have plants growing everywhere on the fountain, idk if they only do that for wi yet but I like to see water running, and birds bathing in there. The park itself is nice but I don’t like the kids playground always too many people there but some days it’s empty, aswell at night time the side with the park is dangerous and creepy stay away from it, if anything go to the fountain or middle of park it’s nicer. There’s also another section that has a statue, people always sit there at night avoid that too for first comers, there always smoking, playing music and just look like they’ll cause trouble. Finnaly the park is kept beautifully and y’all should see it in the summer and spring, the trees grow pink leaves which is great for photos and the park is...

It was a park. Nothing rly special about it....but the main lawn in the middle of the park is beautiful. People often lay down under the shade on the grass and its very cool on a hot simmer day. It is a well enough controlled environment thus you can even hold small parties or picnics in the park. There is alot of greenery and depending at what time of the year, the cicadas start their mating calls and ots very calming. The only downside might be that on a nice day, there is alot of people (and that the park needs brighter lighting at night, for now its good enough)...but its a big park! Overall its nice (but maybe not as nice as the parks in manhattan). (P.s. You can take some good pictures of sunsets from here on a good day, its a great viewing spot for July 4th if your not attending some party, and after or during a snowstorm, its nice to go out and play here.)
