Shop with your Eyes not your Hands!
The Farmer's Market courtesy of upstate farmers ontinues to service the community every Tuesday. Although setup on the sidewalk, social distancing &masks protocols are being implemented. In addition, you are not permitted to physically handle/touch produce to survey/check your preference. Only the farmers handle produce while you endeavor to scrutinize selections by sight, then pay, thereafter are given your shopping bag of goods. As usual, they carry fresh radishes ($1.50 bunch), celery ($2.00), freshly harvested corn with husks (.50 each or 5 for #2.00), peppers ($2.00 lb), kale($3.00 bunch), carrots, beets, zucchini, eggplants, squash, cilantro, homemade granola for $8.00, assorted pound cakes at $7.00, honey, apple cider, assorted apples, peaches, and berries. Within their non elaborate 5 to 6 tents, they carry sufficient items for those who are organically conscious and utilize fresh produce for creating healthy vegetarian meals or juice concoctions. All is paid in cash since this time I did not see debit/credit or EBT systems setup as in previous years. Enjoy a quick Farmer's Market pit...
ย ย ย Read moreThis is the market that is closest to home and I feel so fortunate to be nearby. Today is their last day (not a year round farmers market) but it's an excellent spot to get your shopping done throughout the season. Besides a wide variety of fruits and veggies, you'll find other goodies such as pastries, bread of all types, and honey. They lead cooking demos as well and you can drop off your food scraps. They also do EBT, FMNP checks and health bucks! Until next year friends!...
