Updated review from the one below- I recently went to the super Buffet again it was on a Tuesday, I didn't see a letter on the door so I can't mention if it was an A B or C. But what I can mention is that the restaurant was much less packed and therefore cleaner. Perhaps it was where I sat. What was nice to see which is always nice to see is that the workers there were all sitting at a table seemingly enjoying their meal as well from the buffet. I ate what I usually eat the shrimp and crab meat w cheese I had a couple of the sushi that they had which was good and it didn't get me sick. My meal would have been perfect if there was egg drop soup I looked around and couldn't find any. No soup at all but maybe It was just an oversight on my behalf. Also the only complaint I have at this junction was they didn't have saniwipes. I think the tables should have them so we all can clean our hands , because everyone uses the tongs. Also I would have much rathered eat with chopsticks. Im not sure if they had any. Other then that I had a much more pleasant experience then i did before. Perhaps it was the day of the week I went. Or maybe things just improved. Please if you can have saniwipes available to your customers as well as fresh available soup with crispy noodles to top it. If you can do that I'll be here at least twice a month. ....... Old review⤵️
I came here a few months ago. I use to go to the super buffet in New Rochelle which was always very clean and sometimes not too packed. But they closed I'm guessing due to Covid so I had to settle for trying this place out. My first impression was a C on the door. I wondered why? and I was very concerned about cleanliness. However I went in anyway and asked the lady at the front why was there a C on the door. she stated that, that was given, around the start of covid and has yet to be updated. I'm planning on going there again today and I hope there is a better letter on the door. If not I may not enter. My second inspection and impression of the place was, where I sat the dividers that separated one table from the next was dirty, which gave me pause and thirdly I saw a little girl that was going from one area of food to the next putting her hands in the salad and different food trays taking a bite and putting it back. 😳 this was very alarming and turned my stomach, but my husband already paid for the meal because you must pay before you sit down to eat. Although I was greatly concerned, I bypassed that section of food and went straight towards the shrimp which is always my go to. The shrimp and the crab legs were good I wanted some soup but it looked quite old and the large vat that held it wasn't covered, with the place being so packed and so many people passing by, all I could think of was the possibility of it being riddled with germs. ... Yuck. I am a secret shopper restaurant goer, I get paid to leave reviews and to go to these locations which as I stated I do intend to go there again today, for dinner I hope to see thay they cleaned up their act. I am hoping that there will be someone, a few people at the heads of the food areas to watch what goes on. As they should so no one can put their hands in the food and take something out and place it back. Disgusting. Or sneeze or cough on the food. And if they see that to quickly remove it and replace it. Also someone should replace or clean the tongs with alcohol clothes because so many people touch the same tongs. It should be replaced every hour at least. I know buffets aren't always the most clean. However it should be. Pls do better. If it was cleaner and actually had staff monitoring the food area I would leave a better review and give a better star. Because the seafood is...
Read moreAfter careful consideration, I feel compelled to express my observations regarding my recent visit to your establishment on March 16th, 2024. It is with a sense of responsibility that I convey my concerns, fully aware that my feedback may not immediately impact the operations of this location, given the apparent challenges stemming from management oversight.
Despite recognizing prior customer feedback dating back four years, regrettably, my experience suggests persisting issues. Notably, the overall customer experience remains subpar, exacerbated by the unprofessional and discourteous demeanor exhibited by some staff members. During a family dinner, while we managed to navigate through inconsistencies in the culinary offerings, our evening was marred by a disheartening display of soliciting tips by servers, a practice that lacks ethical integrity and reflects poorly on your establishment.
In an attempt to preempt such encounters, my wife and I opted to prepay a gratuity alongside an additional purchase of Hawaiian Punch for our daughter. However, upon concluding our meal, we were confronted by a server who, despite our upfront payment, insisted on further gratuity. This encounter was compounded by the absence of managerial oversight, a concerning indication of organizational shortcomings.
As a seasoned district manager within a corporate entity, I am familiar with the importance of managerial presence and accountability. It is perplexing to imagine the smooth functioning of a business of this scale without active managerial supervision. My professional background has instilled in me a commitment to operational efficiency and employee welfare, qualities I believe your establishment could benefit from.
While my experience was regrettably disappointing, I am willing to extend my expertise to assist in optimizing your point-of-sale system and refining operational protocols, particularly concerning staff compensation and service standards. I invite you to connect with me on LinkedIn to explore potential avenues for improvement.
In closing, I emphasize that constructive feedback, whether positive or negative, serves as a catalyst for growth. It is my hope that my insights contribute to the enhancement of your establishment, ensuring that every patron receives the exceptional service they...
Read moreFrom the moment we stepped into this establishment, I was hit with the overwhelming stench of what can only be described as old, dirty mop water lingering in the air. That should have been our first red flag. Just past the entrance, I noticed their B health rating clearly posted, and in hindsight, we absolutely should have walked out right then and there. Unfortunately, since we were there for a class field trip, we stayed, and I sincerely regret that decision.
The trouble began immediately with the front staff trying to charge us adult prices for children. To make matters worse, they attempted to bill us for dinner prices during lunch hours. I had to directly tell them my children were, in fact, children in order to be charged correctly. Another teacher had to argue just to get fair pricing for her group. Completely unacceptable.
When we finally sat down and went to the buffet, things only got worse. The food was cold. Yes, cold. At a buffet. Chicken and broccoli should never be served at room temperature. You can’t enjoy food that’s meant to be hot when it’s sitting out cold and lifeless on a buffet line.
The lack of basic customer service continued when one of the teachers asked where the ketchup was. She was brushed off with a vague “with the condiments,” and when she asked for clarification, she was met with attitude. Eventually, someone did show her, but the dismissiveness and tone were uncalled for.
The only bright spot in the entire experience was our waiter. He was polite, attentive, and did his best to clean and serve despite everything else falling apart around him.
To top it all off, one of the teachers tried the cheese rangoon and said it tasted spoiled. Again, her food was also cold. Between the poor customer service, questionable food quality, and the already concerning B rating, this place left a terrible impression.
I don’t know if we caught them on a bad day or if this is just their standard. Either way, I would never return and absolutely do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Proceed at your own risk, but if you value quality and cleanliness, that B rating...
