Don Patron Mexican Bar & Grill — Restaurant in New York

I was traveling with my daughters and on the way home we got hungry for Mexican food. So we decided to go to Don Patron. One of the best decisions I've ever made. Everything here was on point. The friendly service, the food, the variety on the menu. From the outside it didn't look like much, but don't let that fool you. Their cuisine is of such high caliber. I've not had a better or fresher pico de gallo, or sour cream ever. Their tamales all 3 kinds-superb. And, when it comes to their flan-none better. Please, please people give this place a shot, you will be so glad you did....

Absolutely disgusting, the guacamole tasted (and looked) off. The French fries tasted like you got them from a bag, the chicken tender also tasted frozen like I got them from a bag. The tostadas was nasty they put mayonnaise instead of sour cream, it tasted like it was pre-made then put in a freezer for a year then microwaved and served to me. The quesadilla, the chicken was boiled and the cheese tasted cheap. The chips tasted stale and like they were from a bag. There water wasn't cold it was warm. Guacamole was watered down and odd tasting. Rice has no flavor at all and cannot be called Mexican style rice. Cheese was fake and overall not flavorful at all. Refried beans had no taste whatsoever. The food is poor quality and not authentic Mexican flavors. Don’t waste your time eating here if you want flavorful Mexican food. Also their Piña Coladas are water down and fake tasting. Maybe this is authentic Mexican to people who have never tasted real Mexican food but people who have tasted good Mexican food will not...
