A local here, have ordered from this place on several accounts and after yesterday’s order I decided to leave an official review.
Though their finger food is decent, the quality of their meals is abhorrent. I’ve never received a good meal from them and have resorted to apps frequently.
Yesterday, I called their THREE phone lines 4x—and no one answered. Wow they must be busy, I thought. Congrats to them. So I decided to physically walk in to place my order and when I arrived, the store was empty, no customers whatsoever and only one person at the counter. She was purposely ignoring calls. At that point, close the store. My vegetarian friend wanted to order the vegetarian soup, we asked if it was truly vegetarian where the clerk said “no meat.” Comes to find out the broth is chicken. I don’t believe they understand what vegetarian is, and therefore I wouldn’t trust their menu.
I decided to order a pepper steak with onions and when I arrived home it ended up being chicken pepper and onions. Sweet. I opened my order to something totally underwhelming and disproportionately distributed. My large order only came with 2 pieces of peppers, a sh!t ton of onions and whole pieces chicken that must’ve been cooked in a pan that had other food prior.
I should’ve taken a photo but I tossed the food and have vowed to never eat here again. There are tons of delis that prepare fresh and healthier sandwiches than what this place is selling to the neighborhood. This is why fast chains are winning, this place needs to do better and the community needs to acknowledge when they’re being served trash.
And oh atmosphere? There is none. No care for anything— old tiles, old signage, bullet proof glass, no seating no tables. Oh there’s one great thing I saw:: There’s a sign that warns people of diabetes from too much Chinese food. So I pointed to it and I asked if they had salads, tofu, edamame or healthier options… she laughed. I won’t forget it. If you’re hungry, go to the deli next door or my fav one on the corner of...
