This Popeye's Restaurant was once a well taken care of location. At one point the manager would actually interact with the customers and was very polite and respectful. However, lately, I've noticed homeless men loitering near the drive-thru window asking those who order in the drive-thru for spare change. Just last week one was inside asking people to buy him something to eat while another one was hanging out by the back door near the parking area opening the door for customers entering & exiting the restaurant. Today, there was a homeless man sleeping by one of the tables. The other table & the seat next to him wasn't clean. Those who opted to stay & eat, were bunched up to one side of the restaurant to avoid sitting within proximity to the homeless man sleeping by one of the tables. Since the only seats available were near the sleeping homeless man, I had no choice. As I was going to inform the manager or supervisor about the sleeping homeless man, one of the employees came out to do a quick clean up of the floor. I pointed to the sleeping homeless man and advised the employee to notify the manager or supervisor. Adding that the homeless people hanging around the restaurant is actually bad for business. He repeated the word "Manager" and continued cleaning. Either he didn't care or didn't understand what i was telling him. I guess I will be taking my business elsewhere. Seems the manager/supervisor or employees don't care or want to get involved with removing homeless people from in & around their establishment. Plus, it's not like the man who was sleeping at the table couldn't be seen from the register area. Most likely they were ignoring him or just didn't care. What does that say to those of who spend our money at this establishment?
Let's see how much longer it stays...
Read moreSo you order ahead and arrive after the order is should be done. you walk in and ask mobile order for Eddie. They respond nope no mobile orders. So you sit around for about 25 mins costumers come and go, delivery guys come and go and this bag of food just sits there and finally you get the 1 cashier's attention and ask. What is the name on the order for the food sitting there since I got here? The cashier asks you what you number , I say I don't have one I ordered from uber eats the he asks the name and I say Eddie and hands me the bag that has been sitting there since before I got there. So you are telling me that Mobile order for Eddie doesn't equal uber eats order for Eddie. This is not the first time I've had an issue at this place every time I decide to go to this place its never, a straight...
Read moreThe drive-thru window had a long line, attesting to the quality/quantity of the food, but it moved pretty quickly. I opted to go inside this time, I usually use the drive-thru, and the place was bright and clean. I also noticed the precautions they took for social distancing and such. The food here is always good, I don't remember ever having a complaint. I will go out of my way to go to this location because of the quality of their food. There is a much closer location to me, but it doesn't compare to this one. The chicken portions/sizes are good, not like bite-size pieces, good size pieces! The staff is usually on point with getting the orders out in a timely manner, as well as polite. I would, and have, recommend this Atlantic Avenue/Ralph Ave location to anyone. I visited here on January 25 at...
