Dunkin' — Restaurant in New York

I recently stopped by this Dunkin’ to grab a drink, but first went to use the bathroom. About 20 minutes prior, my friend had come in to use the restroom and ordered three orders of hash browns for us—two regular and one loaded. Unfortunately, the hash browns were overly salty, dry, and overheated. He mentioned that one of the employees was nice but forgot to give him ketchup—not a huge issue.

After using the bathroom, I was looking forward to an iced sweet drink and asked about the lemonade flavors. The man at the counter responded in a way that came off as annoyed, asking, “What do you mean, what flavors?” He pointed to the drink handles but did so with a condescending attitude, making me feel as though he was trying to belittle me without directly saying it. He then pointed to the screen and snapped, “You can’t read?”

I calmly asked why he couldn’t just tell me the flavors and questioned why he was being rude. I didn’t have my glasses on, so reading from a distance wasn’t an option. Informing customers about the menu is part of the job, and simply listing the flavors would’ve taken him seconds. At that point, I told him never mind, I don’t want anything, and he replied with, “I know,” which felt dismissive and unprofessional, if I didn’t leave with a purchase is because of how he treated me.

This employee was a middle eastern man with glasses. He was incredibly disrespectful, making for an unpleasant experience. I won’t be coming back to...

This DD is THE BEST in Ridgewood....the owners are very friendly and kind. I've seen them many time tell customers We'll make it again, and it's free if there was an order made incorrectly. I've seen customers walk out and come back and say this was made wrong and they correct it ....yes some workers can be rude and abrupt but that's only less then a handful and there probably fill-ins from other store who don't pride themself on food custoner service...the majority of the staff is VERY friendl and VERY capable . They love to laugh and joke with u, and they still get the coffee right. From time to time, they still forget to cut my bagel. lol. I've been coming to this DD before the owners who have it now....it's always clean and fresh coffee and food... my husband and our friends have sat in there for a few hours sometimes, and to add a very personal note, this DD has saved my marriage a time or two. This Dunkin Donuts never had a particularly wonderful selection, but I always went there anyway. One day, however, I parked in the lot and within about 30 seconds a tow truck tried to take my car. The guy hadn't actually hooked my car, but he had blocked me from leaving the lot. I explained to them that I had grabbed a donut and eaten it already, but naturally the tow truck just wanted money and told me if I didn't pay $50 dollars he would take my car. There was another guy in the lot calling me a liar, I don't know if he was under the employ of the Dunkin Donuts or not, but either way I wrote a letter to the franchise owner requesting some kind of response to what happened - to no avail. I have vowed never to shop there again as a result. I hope they are glad to have stolen my $50, they would have made much more money if they just allowed me to...
