Duzan — Restaurant in New York

I have been coming and ordering from duzan for many years now. Initially, the service and atmosphere were fantastic and I would always highly recommend the place to people I know. However, the restaurant and its service has gone down on almost biblical proportions in recent times. The portion sizes have decreased and yet regardless, I still came to give them business as a loyal customer. Today, I went to place an order for two platters and I was given the worst customer service known to mankind. The Latina girl who works in the back, packing the food decided to develop a petty squabble with me and withhold severing my food since other people who came after me were getting their orders before mine. I don’t know the exact reason why she had an issue with me, but here I am waiting for my food and she’s constantly giving me dirty looks. I had a feeling my food was packed and she was holding it and guess what? A new employee comes out and says my order is ready when I saw that order sitting for a couple of minutes. First, the lady at the counter says my order is taking longer because I ordered 3 sides (rice salad and French fries which probably shouldn’t even take long because they cook rice in bulk and have salad chopped up ready to go) . Then all of a sudden, the delay changes to the “chicken kabab takes longer to cook”. Which one is it? Right when they said that, it’s all of a sudden ready? So the chicken doesn’t take long to cook? Not to mention the chicken portion they gave me wouldn’t even take that long to cook considering it was a very small portion of chicken. Chicken doesn’t take 30 minutes to cook anyways. It is sad to see the current state of the business but i suppose that’s what hype and “high demand” does to businesses. Yesterday spent $50 received less than satisfactory tasting food . Normally food is always on point delicious . My food was rushed cooked . I purchased the same dish normally get every time I come with 3 meats and two sides every time I come . Usually that dish standard comes with a 1- grilled onion ; 1- grilled tomato; 1- grilled pepper small portion of onion& tomatoe salad; small drizzle of hummus - which now charge for that use to be standard with meal that has mint with herbs with rices that’s usually pleasantly tasting with herb & spices with pickles along slices of shredded red cabbage . ( none of above items were Included with the order that usually comes standard) that Last night the rice was bland no flavor meat taste a tad bit scorched missing flavor . Requested the pita bread be replaced with garlic naan instead charged for garlic naan still received pita bread didn’t want with both my orders . ( neither of the order had any of vegetables that comes standard whenever you order the dish always order) My other order was 1 meat with two sides for my brother . My order # 118 picked up by my brother in which I paid the bill cash waited in vehicle because of injuries. Normally don’t have to check my food to see if it’s complete or taste satisfactory from this establishment because order same dish all the time . Yesterday food tasted like it was rush cooked with no care ; I’m so disappointed to come a great deal of a distance traveling over 10 miles for something didn’t enjoy in heavy traffic. Something should be done to accommodate for missing all these items that comes standard with this dish that didn’t receive. The food is pretty good but the workers are absolutely disrespectful and beyond incompetent. I keep giving this place a chance every few months in hopes they will redeem themselves but the service just gets worse. They lack the core ability to follow simple directions or they just do not care about the level of quality they put out. I'm not sure which.

Countless times paid add-ons are not given in the order. Falafel, hummus? No. I could add any number of paid (.50c each) extra sauces to my cart, but the order will NEVER EVER include the correct amount or correct sauces. I want to be clear that I am not asking for anything custom or not on the menu.

Its really unfortunate because base product you offer is tasty but when you can't get the order correct it begs the question why am I spending my money in a place that doesn't care about me or how I enjoy my food?

The cost of this place is already on the higher end for a quick grab and go lunch (this restaurant has been under construction and reconfigured many times over the last two years, so don't think you can sit down and eat inside) with many other inexpensive similar quality food places are in the area and just in walking distance.

I would love to love this place but you almost never can enjoy the food as requested and paid to be prepared. I can deal with rude and inadequate customer service but I will not support a local business in my neighborhood that does not care to get my...
