Eat here now is mid. Nothing really stands out just a normal dinner good food. Not going to blow you away nothing really worth posting but wasn’t bad. I had a bacon egg and cheese and it was ok could have been way better but I don’t think it’s here for that the omelette was ok also. Overall just cool dinner downtown staff was friendly but it’s not like they make you feel at home Seemed like there was some regulars there and the vibe seemed the same for everyone. Nothing stood out but nothing was bad Wouldn’t go out my way to come here but won’t be disappointed if you in the area and stop for breakfast. Like always hope you enjoyed this review my bill was $44 for a bacon egg and cheese and a western omelette not bad in my eyes Follow me on IG @imbroke_rob & @imbroke_eats Again thanks for the follows and support Let me know if you come and what did you get

ordered a grilled cheese and an avocado salad. the grilled cheese ($8 i think) was okay nothing special. the avocado salad was overpriced ($21 i think) but there were only 6 slices of avocado on it and the rest was just bland unsalted lettuce, onion, tomatoes, and some olives. they also gave me a cup of vinaigrette which i saw them pour out of a juice pitcher. i wasn't that big of a fan of it. the picture i included was taken after I've taken a few bites off of my sandwich and after i've ate one slice of avocado . the waitress was nice though. the owner was nice too. he gave me a free cookie which was kind of stale. overall, overpriced for food that was average if not below average. will not come again.

I've eaten here many times over the years. This place is always consistent which is the key to a good place to eat. Their coffee is always hot, fresh and delicious! Today, I had the roast turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes and russian dressing on toasted rye. The rye was toasted perfectly which is a key thing and yet hard to get sometimes. The turkey was very tasty, crisp lettuce and the dressing was a perfect condiment to blend the flavors. For this are the prices are amazing. To have a very fulfilling, fresh and tasty lunch for under $25 on Lexington and 64th is a miracle. The wait staff, even when it is busy are always friendly and nothing short of amazing!

I was a regular at this place. The staff is lovely. Makes you feel very much at home. They were my New York family. I used to go every morning until I moved to FiDi. But even after I moved I would always take the 25 minute train ride to visit them once a week. The breakfast is always terrific. This weekend I went on a busy Saturday. The owner was there. I greeted him and he greeted me back. 5 minutes after I finished my breakfast, Luis, a great guy works there asked me if I wanted another cup of coffee. I was reading my book so I said yes.

Before I got my coffee the owner said "Did you get your food yet?" I said yes, it was delicious as always. Then he said "Who was your waitress?" I said Caroline.

He turned to Caroline and said "He needs his check. I have people waiting for tables." There were other spaces open but I guess a couple wanted the two person booth I was sitting in. I smiled but I was ticked off. I always treat everyone there with the utmost respect and tip well. To be hustled out like that was rude. I guess he didn't know me as well as the other couple but that's no excuse.

I wish everyone there well but I won't be going back except to say goodbye to the great folks that work there. It's a real shame it ended this way. Luis, Debra, Veronica and Caroline you guys were...

Wow wow wow!

We rambled about Central Park and ventured about the avenue for a bite to eat. As is the norm you always always head to where there is a queue! You'll not go wrong! Greeted by the owner Jack and his wife who is a tornado greeting, seating and serving people. The warmest of smiles through the eyes of those working feverishly to keep the ebb and flow of the restaurant amazing! The food needs no mention trust me you do not get a queue forming outside if the food ain't good and of a reasonable price especially for NYC. If Jacks energy and comforting presence could be bottled I gladly have a daily dose. Food served promptly and piping hot! I'll leave you all with this...there are local folk whom make their pilgrimage to "Eat Here Now" on a daily basis it goes beyond a local diner/restaurant...you are treated as family. You will leave full to the brim with a sense of accomplishment in having made new friends. What ever you do go to this decades old family run restaurant and steer clear of the "icon haunts" that in fairness lack soul and character. Embrace all that is NYC and if by chance you take my advice ....please give my heartfelt regard to Caroline, Jack and...
