I had high hopes for this place since I’m and avid health and fitness guy but ended up with a pretty terrible experience.

Around 1:30pm, we ordered the ā€œGreen Smoothieā€ while it was not busy at all. One other couple ordered before us. There was 5 staff. We waited about 15 minutes and noticed no one was making our drink. The workers didn’t seem to pay attention to the customers or notice things were slow. One of them was drinking coffee in the middle of her shift and a few of them were just chatting. I asked the worker if our drink was being made. She said ā€œyes, it’s being made now by someone, thank you for being patient.ā€ It was odd because a few minutes after she said that she went back and started to make it.

While it was being made, the guy who took our order asked us what drink we ordered which showed there seemed to be some confusion. By the end of it seemed like they forgot to make our order and no one apologized or took ownership of the mistake. We finally got our smoothie and it tasted way too earthy. It tasted like way too much spinach was put in. I make smoothies almost every other day and this tasted awful. We had to throw it out. This experience was not worth the wait and the $12+ spent.

I read other reviews and it sounds like this place being slow happens often.

I would give the place a second chance regardless of our first experience. Maybe someone was new? Maybe someone wasn’t trained well?

Anyways, go at your own risk but I hope your experience is better.

If you are the owner or manager reading this please take this as positive criticism. Starting a business is extremely hard and I want you to succeed.

I don't think I have super high expectations but ugh.

I was in the Upper East Side and was looking for an Acai Bowl shop when I stumbled on Loco Coco. The menu and pictures online seemed super inviting so of course I b lined over to get my acai on.

First of all, it's a tiny little store with not much space to move in. It's cutely decorated and lit up, they have a bar with two chairs so if you're looking to sit down it'll probably be occupied with people who aren't even eating or someone with a connection to management. That's what happened when I ordered, I thought I'd be able to sit but they were taken up with non customers.

So I ordered the Enter The Dragon Fruit, a fresh squeezed orange juice and another drink (forgot the name - they didn't have the ingredients so we asked for a refund).

The pitaya bowl and orange juice took about 15 minutes to make when we were literally the only customers who had ordered. That's more time than an order at a fast food restaurant. Also I think their prices are a little steep.

The Pitaya bowl was delicious and I'd definitely recommend it if it didn't take so long to make. The OJ was good but definitely not worth $10 for a small.

Overall, I probably won't be coming back...

First thing I want to say is the smoothies and bowls here are the best in the city. Thick, refreshing smoothies. Can cure a hangover, dehydration, heat stroke, etc.

However, every single time I order from here or pick up an item at the store, I am waiting over an hour for my item to be ready. Expect a line in the summer. Do not order delivery from here because the delivery takes 1-2 hours and every item, my order has been messed up or is missing items. It is the store’s responsibility to make sure the delivery order is correct and contains every time on the receipt. It is impossible to call them because they don’t pick up the phone line (likely because they are busy). One time I stopped by, there were TWO people working in the store. Severely understaffed. I have always had a pleasant experience with the employees, but they need SUPPORT in order to run this shop properly. You guys need 4-5 people working every busy day. It is crazy to me how inefficient this business is run. Flavor is excellent but expect to wait...

Just reading through reviews as I usually do before I eat somewhere, to make sure it's gonna be OK, was about to spend $20 to order breakfast delivery from this place. Shocked and appalled to say the least that an owner would respond to a customer in this way. Apparently, yeah. Your smoothie was still that fucking bad that many hours later. To top it off you make fun of the customer for not being able to estimate 16oz with their eyes???? Maybe when they ordered they said medium or large or whatever and did not order by ounce and were not corrected by your chatty staff we've all heard so much about? This interaction is WEIRD and SCARY, stay away. I know I'm going to. I'll be damned. Wow. Edit before you roast customers for thinking about how disgusting your food was hours later, which is reasonable if the food was really that bad, you literally published publicly the wrong version of the word 'your'...make sure your own house is in order before you go around judging others houses. Or something like that.

Loved everything about this place. We came at 6:30 pm on Saturday after an more then an hour walk that we took and they've already closed (I've already asked Google to correct the weekends hour because they close at 6pm) but a very nice lady let us get in after I explained that the Google hours were probably wrong but we really want to buy something. So check on extremely nice and welcoming service! All the fruits were fresh, the smoothies and bowl we took tasted amazing. Yes it takes some time to make things, but I always prefer freshly made food so I don't mind to wait for it. Thank you Loco Coco, we would definitely come back!

I went there to try a new thing because it was very different and unique concept. My friend and I order dragon fruit base with pineapple as our bowl (it cost extra to have freshly cut pineapple as bowl). The staffs is so nice and friendly. We also happen to met the owners, they are so nice and asked question how do we heard from this place. The owner was so nice to us and told us if we wanted extra granola on side and it was no extra charge. Since the place is small, so it can get crowed when it get busy. It's took awhile to get out fruits bowl but it was so worth the waiting because the fruit was so delicious.
