Hi Happy Holidays, Great selctions and the food is good , But I walked into a Mortons on East 63rd St. and shopped, however it appears to be that some employees really dont have the social skills to deal with customers. I am retired and worked in the Health care field for over 34 years and dealt with people daily, remembering always that what ever happens at home stays at home. 1, a supervisor young man with a beard , and a black hat low down over his eyes. He wore a Black pullover fleece and was very rude. I stood on line and it seemed that every where I stood he crossed right in front of me brushing up against me, without saying excuse me. I felt after 3 to 4 times that he came my way that it was belligerent. Very inniappropriate for a person in a high position. Then the cashier seemed to be having a hard time and it was only 11:00 am. She snapped at me when I pulled my credit card out to early. I know the holidays can be a bit stressful, but this is not the first time this occurred. I reside here in this area over 50 years and I remember when the store converted. My montra is if you dont want to work or have a attidude "Dont come to work" stay home and introspect. Please this is not intended to get any one in trouble. This is the way I hold others accountable...
Read moreExtended visit in NYC brought me to 63 and 3rd location. During Covid19, I was happy to find a large selection of prepackaged options for fresh salads and vegetables and meals and bakery. From NJ, I recognized the bowl and basket brand which is a ShopRite private label and decent. Sale prices for ice cream and paper products were reasonable for NYC. Other than Trader Joe’s, I’ve yet to find another grocery store with zero expired food items or a bad unexpired item. What happens when one tries to take back a bad unexpired item to the store is what I’d be interested in knowing, and many comments don’t give that information. This store is jam packed with food selection - including some organic, lactose and gluten free options. Produce variety is good. When in NYC - expect to pay more at a local grocery store. One block from where I stay - it’s a fortunate...
Read moreI personally think this Supermarket is Great. I've been visiting this Supermarket for about 4 years now, I don't reside in the nieghborhood but I work nearby and I stop in for goods from time to time. The Supermarket is a duplex with the lower level being slighly bigger. The Upper level has the Cafe with seating area, A food and Salad Bar, The Deli, Bakery, and Registers. The lower level has a small flower shop, a Seafood section, Produce, frozen goods, etc etc and more Registers. Overall this Supermarket is clean, very well organized, the staff is friendly and seemed very visible around the place, working. You can also find goods and foods that you wont find in other Supermarkets like Fine Fair and Keyfood. The prices are moderate but what can you expect when it's location is in the city. This Supermarket, this lication...
