El Dorado — Restaurant in New York

Despite reviews, I went in around 1. I figure if it's good I don't care if they're mean. An extra salsa is a 1 ounce cup, which is pretty silly. And it's too thin and too spicy. I got taquitos chicken. Which tasted good, until one fell apart and I examined the meat inside. Normally I wouldn't do this, but I had to take a pic of this chicken meat. For $7 you'd think they could at least give you decent meat but no. It was hard like old/hard. At first I just thought cause it's fried but not like this. And my other issue is. Where did they get this meat? It's like butcher scraps at best. I got chicken cause I figured, how bad can the chicken be. As tripe and beef tongue are not valid options for me. Everything but the food is getting one star because I ordered for delivery over an hour and a half ago, and kept calling back, and the girl on the phone LAUGHED AT ME & HUNG UP. More than once. Why? WHO KNOWS. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ I ordered food for pickup last night and it was ready in 10mins and delicious. I love the food here and was so happy a new place opened up. Over an hour and a half later the delivery dude comes and he’s clearly upset to hear how she dealt with the whole thing. Then he tried to get me to pay for an old burrito. THE SOPES are just about the most delicious thing I've ever had in my life. I always get 3: 2 carnitas and one shrimp. Their guac is good too. Their hot sauces are the best. We keep the extras to add to other foods. I speak Spanish so the language barrier isn't an issue, but I do have an issue with their POS system- they add up what you ordered in their head and charge you. They don't use a calculator or a computer/iPad. I have had a few problems with them adding incorrectly. Usually a few dollars off in my favor or theirs. But that's not enough to keep me from either popping in for sopes or having them delivered. I highly recommend you go in person if you don't speak Spanish because you will have a really hard time ordering on the phone. But do definitely try the sopes here they...
