Elegante Pizzeria — Restaurant in New York

When I'm craving pizza and chicken parm this the place I will return to again and again. I visited twice in one day. I was super early for my dentist appointment and I WAS STARVING..Because I live in Queens I was not familiar with what was available on fifth ave. I knew eventually I would run into a pizza shop... I found this place and i'm ever so glad I did. This is the kind of old school pizza place. I remember going to as a kid.... Nothing fancy...clean..... But the pizza..omg... I kept it simple.I got a slice with sausage... The crust is perfection...crispy, slightly charred, flavorful, the marinara.. a little tangy..well seasoned, not oily. And they use really really good quality mozzarella.. I know people think i'm Overdisecting a slice of pizza... But these things are important because it Is relatively simple. This was definitely the best slice.I've had in a really long time. Afterward, I went to my dentist appointment all I could think about is going back to try the chicken parm hero, All while getting a root canal.. Of course, after my dental appointment I went back got the chicken parm hero with some extra marinara and took it back to Queens ... This also was also delish... And it held up very well for my hour-long trip, back home.. I'm so glad I got the extra marinara. cause I like chicken parm saucy. The chicken was tender, well-seasoned,they use great bread, .and the same great quality mozzarella. Luckily or maybe not so luckily I have several more appointments scheduled at my dentist nearby. I definitely will be returning. Even once I'm done with my treatments, I will gladly make...

Sorry. This place is bad. I call it "greasy spoon pizza." Never saw pizza so soaked in oil. I don't understand the obsession with all the oil. I got 2 slices the other day because I was so hungry. I wound up tossing out the second slice. Really bad and greasy. The sad thing is their square is good if not so soaked in oil but it gets ruined. And I have given this place many chances. You want great pizza? Go to Artichoke pizza. Amazing slices of all types. And huge. Also Elegante puts in too much oregano. The guys are all nice in there. No doubt. Also no coca cola. Just pepsi. C'mon. if they could just stop the grease fest the pizza would be radically better. It's been around a long time and the only pizza place in a Muslim community. So, while I like the people working there, please stop all the oil that soaks through the bag when you take it to go. I just don't...

The one thing I hate the most, is when a place of business has no accountability. I appreciate the offer for “another slice”, but I’ll decline. The review was simply based off of the “QUALITY” of the slice of pizza I had. I did not say I “DROPPED” my slice. Please read your reviews thoroughly!

The quality of the pizza SUCKED! Have baked, Thin, flimsy, no taste, cheap pepperoni, and THE SLICE BROKE WHEN I FOLDED IT! and I hate that!
