Filoncino Cafe - Tottenville — Restaurant in New York

First, I want to open up by saying I have been going to Royal Crown since my teens. I am now in my 40's, I recall when the bakery on the Northshore just sold bread and desserts. When they expanded to include sandwich's, then pizza and then a full kitchen. Now, with that out the way. I was excited when I heard that they will be opening up a location in the southshore (minus the location near Richmond Ave.) And, I have gave this place a few shots and each time the service was horrible. But, today was the last straw. It began with me trying to place an order for pick up. Only, to be placed on hold for over 10 minutes. I hung up and tried calling again. Only, to be placed on hold again. I said f it, maybe they are really busy. Let me just do a walkin. Got to the location, and it wasn't that busy to warrant placing someone on hold for that long. Walked up to the register, placed my order and paid. After, 20 something minutes I noticed the to go location was getting stacked up with to go orders. Another, 20 minutes goes by and my name was still not called. When out of the blue, a gentleman showed up and started bagging the food. And, what do you know? My food was sitting there for over 20 minutes. Now, if it was just sandwhichs I wouldnt mind so much. But, I had also placed an order for some hot food. I asked how long its been sitting there for before accepting the bag, and was told it just came out. Yeah right BS, I was literally watching the whole time. As soon as I got home, what did I notice? My hot food was extremely cold. Damn, shame! I really like their food but, the service, customer service and overall way they run this location is horrible. If I can give a negative star I would....

I am delighted to have such a fine cafe as an addition to this shopping Plaza South Shore Commons.

Sister Location of Royal Crown Bakery which is a jewel as everyone knows- now close to Tottenville and 15-20 minutes from most anywhere. Well worth the time to come experience all Filoncino has to offer.

Their menu is sought after all over Staten Island as much as their fresh baked Italian desserts and coffees.

Burgers, Steaks, Sandwiches, Wraps, Salads- amazing made-to-order hand-crafted plates and platters.

The portions and prices are amazing, plenty of seating in a relaxed casual atmosphere, attentive staff and barristas to serve patrons. So fresh it's going to be your Go-to cafe once you visit, again and again!

Order online in advance if you want your order ready and waiting. Order your birthday cakes for pickup the day before.

You won't be looking further than Filoncino for the freshest desserts and menu selections for the most perfect...

Edit: Thank you for responding to my review. I wish I was told that a vegan choice could be made by altering items off of the regular menu. Instead, I was offered the bill for our coffees.

Original Review: This location is beautiful, with a gorgeous pastry/cookie case when you first walk in. Wait staff is very attentive and kind. I did, however, have an issue once it was time to order. I requested their vegan menu AND placed my order, only for her to come back and apologize because they no longer serve items off of their vegan menu. I’m highly disappointed because there are so few places on Staten Island where I can have a guaranteed “safe” meal. It’s a shame that they no longer accommodate the vegan diet. Hopefully the Amboy...
