Laila Restaurant is a culinary gem that offers an authentic taste of Middle Eastern cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you are welcomed by a warm, inviting atmosphere and a beautifully decorated interior that transports you straight to the heart of the Middle East. The menu is a delightful array of traditional dishes, each prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The hummus was creamy and flavorful, perfectly complemented by freshly baked pita bread. The lamb kebabs were tender and juicy, seasoned to perfection with a blend of aromatic spices. The falafel was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just as it should be. The service was exceptional—prompt, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Laila Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience genuine Arabic flavors in a cozy and welcoming setting. Highly recommend From the moment I walked into Laila Arabic Restaurant, I knew I was in for a special experience. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with intricate décor and a comfortable seating arrangement that sets the perfect mood for a memorable dining experience. The culinary journey began with a selection of appetizers that were simply outstanding. The baba ghanoush was smoky and velvety, while the stuffed grape leaves were bursting with flavor. Each dish is a testament to the chef's dedication to authenticity and quality. The main courses are equally impressive. The mixed grill platter was a highlight, featuring an assortment of perfectly grilled meats that were juicy and flavorful. The chicken shawarma was tender and succulent, with a delightful blend of spices that left a lasting impression. Vegetarians will love the moussaka, which is rich and hearty without being heavy. The service at Laila's is top-notch. The staff are incredibly attentive and go out of their way to ensure that every guest feels welcome and well-cared for. They are knowledgeable about the menu and eager to share their recommendations, enhancing the overall dining experience. And let’s not forget the desserts—truly the icing on the cake. The knafeh was a standout, with its crispy pastry and sweet, gooey center. Paired with a cup of traditional Arabic coffee, it was the perfect way to end the meal. Laila Arabic Restaurant offers an unparalleled dining experience that combines exceptional food, outstanding service, and a wonderful atmosphere. It's a true treasure for anyone looking to explore the rich flavors of Middle Eastern cuisine. I can't recommend it highly enough! Laila Arabic Restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience that captures the essence of Middle Eastern hospitality and cuisine. From the moment you enter, the beautifully designed interior, with its elegant touches and comfortable seating, sets the stage for a fantastic meal.

The menu is a culinary journey through the Middle East, offering a wide range of dishes that cater to all tastes. The mezze platter is a must-try, featuring a variety of dips and salads that are perfect for sharing. The tabbouleh was fresh and zesty, and the muhammara had just the right amount of spice. For the main course, the lamb tagine was a standout. Slow-cooked to perfection, the meat was tender and infused with rich, aromatic flavors. The seafood options are equally impressive—the grilled prawns were succulent and cooked to perfection, with a delightful blend of spices. The staff at Laila's are exceptional, providing impeccable service with a personal touch. They are attentive, friendly, and always ready to go the extra mile to ensure that every guest has a wonderful dining experience. Their knowledge of the menu and their passion for the cuisine truly...

Laila is a huge win for the South Shore. A welcome addition to the whole slew of repeat restaurants we have access to on Page Ave and the surrounding area. Alan Dakhlallah is a cut above other Middle Eastern food chefs because he takes your typically common dishes and makes them better. He's also a Master Host, gliding from table to table to ensure that everyone feels welcome and to offer "try this" options on the house.

You'll check the menu, you'll order what you know and you'll be pleasantly surprised at how much better it tastes here versus other ME restaurants. BUT be sure to try everything he recommends. That will be the win for you and for him because next time you visit, you'll order it again and again. Hummus, yes. Awesome. But Hummus with freshly made Shwarma on top? Score!

Kibbeh, lamb-filled pockets of bulgher wheat that are deep-fried and fragrant with spices like cinnamon and cumin? Sure. Had them. Know them. Okay. Usually always dry everywhere else so I it's not a first choice for me, but when Alan shows up with a freshly made dish of Kibbeh that you didn't order, you must eat because he knows it's going to stupify you - moist, tender lamb inside a deep fried Kibbeh. It was amazing! A cut above everywhere else.

Kibbeh Naya - chopped, raw lamb brightened with fresh mint and served with fruity olive oil - is one of my favorite appetizers anywhere. It's hard to get it wrong until I tasted Laila's. It was so right and so much better that I realized it was wrong everywhere else. it's an acquired taste but if you can get past the idea of eating "raw lamb" like you do sushi, go for it.

Whole fish Branzini is amazing. The mixed grill - another common ME restaurant item - better here than anywhere else. And you can't go wrong with any appetizer. Expand your horizons and go. You won't be sorry. At the very least, Alan will make sure you have...

It is unfortunate that I can only give 1 star to this restaurant. We’ve really enjoyed this restaurant and the food. We have been patrons since they first opened the doors and were on a limited menu. We have brought and introduced multiple people to this place as well. It is so mismanaged that I can no longer take it. We recently had a reservation with other people on a Saturday night and ended up waiting 2 hours to be seated. We stood in the parking lot for 2 hours and they actually forgot we were there waiting. We’ve ordered multiple times online/by phone and never received the food then after calling to check was either told they didn’t see it due to their system or the latest answer, they “stopped accepting delivery orders” for the day. Today we called and asked “are you accepting delivery orders?”, was told “yes if it’s in by 7pm”. Ok we ordered at 5:20, only to be told “they’re no longer accepting delivery orders and they were refunding our payment” they arbitrarily just stop accepting orders at random times! So for now we will no longer be customers of this restaurant. I don’t understand how a restaurant during these uncertain times can turn away business? Let alone give you back you’re money! Again the food is really good but the mismanagement is astounding. Other than food a restaurant is supposed to offer an all around good customer experience not a stressful unsure one. They’ve been open long enough to have better systems in place. I’m hoping they can get a handle on...

One of our most popular hot appetizers is our kibbeh 😋 Kibbeh is a popular dish in the Arab world and the Levant in particular, based on spiced lean ground meat and bulgur wheat. Kibbeh is considered to be a national dish of Lebanon and Syria. Watch Chef and owner Alan as he makes kibbeh fresh at Laila Restaurant. Kibbeh is certainly a comfort food, have you tried ours❓❓ Available at both locations: Laila Staten Island 45 Page Ave Laila Bay Ridge 8530 3rd Ave #Kibbeh #LailaRestaurant #Halal #StatenIsland #BayRidge
