Wow! where do I begin? 1st of all there are 2 many rules, they have to check your temperature, then when you go in there they make you stand in a certain spot, then when you pay with your credit card you gotta show ID, I am willing to bet they would NOT ask a white person to show ID with a DEBIT card, I ordered a grilled chicken roti with no potatoes cause I have gotten chicken rotis with more potatoes than chicken, a Trinidadian brother friend of mine told me I could ask for no potatoes, when I asked for no potatoes, they told me they could not NOT put potatoes in the grilled chicken because it's made like that, but that they would try not to they were successful in not putting the potaotes in the roti thumbs up for that! then a fight broke out in the store with an irate customer {I'm wondering why she was irate) and an employee. the employee yielded to the temptation of the irate customer and came from behind the counter to fight the customer and succeeded, she did indeed fight the girl outside the store. the irate customer was with some other women one of which threatened to come back with her man to shoot up the place, I went against my "inner voice" and better judgement and went black the next day because I wanted a certain entree, when I went in the place to order they again asked for my ID with my debit card when I respectfully expressed my disapproval about doing that, Sheniece took my card, and threw down on the counter the red pen for me to sign the receipt. I had to use the bathroom, and decided to do so as I waited for my food, There was an employee in the bathroom, myself and a gentleman who was waiting to use the bathroom could see she moving about through the plastic door window, we're not sure what she was doing in there, but after the gentleman knocked she opened up the door to look confrontationally at who knocked on the door like she was going to do something, and then closed the door after going back in . that store has a certain energy I told one of the workers there they need to sage (smudge the store down with some Sage) the place tell Mr. Gordon that too, I am...
Read moreFootprints Cafe is known for its delicious food and chill vibes. They are extremely lackadaisical with customer service, however. I've known this for the 10+ years I've frequented each of their locations but I continue to give them a chance to prove themselves.
A few months ago I went into the Flatbush location to order takeout. I was told my food would take about 1hr. Since I live nearby, I asked if I could pay for my order and have it delivered instead of having to wait. The cashier said no, I have to call to place my order. I was confused and taken aback because what she said did not make any sense. There is no difference, in my opinion, from placing a delivery order in person or over the phone. The cashier was not receptive to my logic so I left, vowing to never order from Footprints again.
Fast foward to today. I've been home for three weeks due to the COVID 19 pandemic and I'm tired of cooking So, I decided to give Footprints another chance. I called to place my order at 4:01pm. The person who answered the phone confirmed my address and phone number and said it would be take about 1.5hrs. I was okay with that delivery timeline. I waited 2hrs before calling for an update. The person I spoke with said the delivery person already left. That response did not give any specifics about my order but I left it at that. Now 3 hours later, I called back at 7:10p to check status of my order. I was placed on hold while the cashier contacted the delivery person. When the cashier came back on the line, she said that they had the wrong address. I asked her to confirm what she had and it was correct. She then said they did not have my cross streets. I replied, I'm certain the delivery person could use navigation to find the address. She then said they had the wrong phone number for me. At this point I figured they were making excuses, and asked to cancel my order.
I am never ordering from Footprints. My advice to management is to better train your cashiers on proper consumer...
Read moreOrdered a 900.00 catering order in advance that was not ready at the time I requested. I had to wait almost two hours for the food to be made and needless to say my event was nearly ruined because of the unprofessional nature of these people. The catering director Rachel was very rude to me. I should’ve known that when I emailed them a form for my order and it wasn’t responded to until I reached out to confirm that I would be in trouble. They ended up calling my phone at 10:00 PM two nights before the event to tell me my card was declined (due to suspected fraud), but they never confirmed with the restaurant that they would have all of my requested items. I wouldn’t take the risk ever again ordering from them. When I called to get my promised refund for the missing items the manager told me I owed them money because I was given something I wasn’t supposed to be given, even though that item and a refund were agreed upon by the manager on duty as a way to say sorry for their mess up. They don’t hold up their word as the reneged on the refund. This leads me to believe that they have deceptive business practices. They tell you one thing and do another. When you call the message says your on a recorded line, but they refuse to listen to previous conversations to push their own agenda. And by the way your money means nothing to them. Rachel literally told me my money meant nothing and a 900.00 order was nothing in the grand scheme of things. As a black person I cringe at scenarios such as theses because it makes it hard to keep pouring my money into our community when the customer service lacks severely. I have catered many events and I have never dealt with this level of unprofessionalism. I wish I had saved myself the headache and disappointment. Btw food was ok, at best. Definitely tasted rushed and not made with love. Severely disappointed and I will never return to any Footprints...
