Glendale Bagels & Quality Deli — Restaurant in New York

Not at all what they used to be.

Prior to new ownership, you had fantastic bagels and great food. It was fairly cheap, made quickly, and the people working at the counter really put out good vibes. I enjoyed every visit.

Flash forward to now, the bagels are about the only draw, because everything else has gone down the tubes. The lady that usually works the counter tends to carry around a bit of an attitude, just about everything is insanely priced, and at times, you can wait what feels like centuries for the simplest order.

Even the bagels have gotten a bit worse and smaller, but for the most part, they're still really good. It's still a shame that the best bagel joint in Queens got turned into this. Come for the bagels, but if you're hoping for good and inexpensive service, stay away. I'll forever miss the old...

Good bagels and good prices but who wants to wait 50 minutes for 4 bagels and a bacon egg and cheese When there’s only 5 people ahead of you? When you go to a breakfast spot like this you expect to be in and out in 15 minutes. Even 20 minutes would’ve been a long wait but acceptable. 50 minutes is a whole other level of inefficiency that I can’t understand.

People ordering through Seamless and GrubHub should not take precedence over people who physically walk into your shop, since they have the luxury of waiting for their food in the comfort of their homes. There has to be some kind of balance.

They should also tell you when you’re ordering that there’s gonna be a long wait for your food so people can plan accordingly. It’s perfectly reasonable for someone to want a bagel or two when...

Absolutely terrible service. The only reason why I go to this store is because it is walking distance and the guy on the grill is great! I literally waited 45mins for a bacon egg and cheese. They are so understaffed that they are all overwhelmed. Then you have atleast 20 people waiting in the store all jammed up. When I finally got my order the cashier wanted me to pay AGAIN! I paid when she took me order then she wanted me to pay again because she said I don't remember you. Then give a receipt when paid......but that's too much to ask for. How is the cook who is working so hard, such a nice guy even under pressure and everyone else there is so miserable and nasty. Definitely need change...
