I have left thousands of dollars here over the years of this business. I have always bought Lamb Masala (or other lamb dishes) here. Many years. I bought for myself, for my family and for my workers. Many times. Today, as usual, I called Gyro King to order three courses. The phone was immediately connected to voicemail and it was recommended to place an order on-line. I'm driving and I can't do it. I called 13 times on two different numbers! The same - order on-line. I stopped and tried to order online. But the site just didn't work! I tried 20 more times! Does not work! In the end, I came straight to Gyro King. There was not a single visitor there. The girl on the counter was doing nothing, and two workers were sitting next to her and also doing nothing. The girl told me that she was very busy, so she did not answer the calls. I show her - website does not work! She said - website working fine but my phone does not. I do not want if finally someone will spit in my dishes. Simply I'll never spend again even one my cent in this business. You...
Read moreI would've given Gyro King 5 stars as their food is very good but this is the 2nd delivery order in a row that had an issue. Last time it was the wrong drinks. I asked for the right drinks and was told 1-1/2 hours to deliver the right drinks and the restaurant is literally 1 1/2 blocks away! This order took close to 1 1/2 hours to deliver and the driver showed up with a non working credit/debit card machine as they refused to do the transaction by phone. Because of this I had to phone the restaurant and do the card transaction by phone anyway. The woman who answered my call was not the woman who took my order and insisted on quoting to me the wrong price for my bill( which was higher)when in fact she was wrong. After a back and forth exchange which lasted several minutes including being left on hold for a couple of minutes she realized her error and apologized. Dinner was ruined 😒! Good food but lousy customer service. I doubt I'll ever order for delivery again from this...
Read moreI was with the family visiting Children Museum of Staten Island and was looking for halal restaurants nearby and found this hidden gem. It was definitely hard to find parking but eventually I was able to find it. They do have 2 reserved parking spots for the restaurant. I entered the restaurant and was amazed with great gesture the custom service personnel with her greeting us and handing us a menu to decide on what to get. She has made a space for us so my family can sit. We tried their Chicken Gyro, Philly Cheesesteak and Chicken Wings. I must say that everting was made fresh and the taste was delicious. I like how they have a small menu which does help in keeping better quality of the food. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are...
