Charsu and I came here for dinner before heading to the spa. They ordered a classic burger, regular fries, and a peanut butter milkshake. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, regular fries, and the salted caramel milkshake. We wanted to try the soursop milkshake but, that was sold out. A lot of their specials they had listed was actually sold out which is confusing to why they still had them up on the specials board. When we ordered, the cashier was apparent she didn't want to be there. She didn't really acknowledge us when we came in and when we were asking what was available she was providing one word responses. It was weird, when we sat down to consume our meals, she greet _some_ people but, not others. I guess we didn't make the cut. Charsu said the classic was okay but, the hot mess burger was way better. I thought the chicken sandwich was okay too. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back for it. The meat was big and juicy. We were surprised that the bread wasn't toasted (just the burnt edges) or had any mayo or spread on it. The fries were fresh and tasty. Charsu enjoyed her milkshake but, my milkshake was super runny and had the consistency of melted ice cream soup. I asked them if they could remake it and I was met with an eye roll and "what do you want me to do about it" as a response. I wasn't going to leave until they fixed the milkshake and the woman was unresponsive that a guy came from the back and made me a new one.....with guess what, the correct consistency! The female staff members served up attitude and display so much disinterest that it really took a toll on our experience here. Also, even though the restaurant has over 20 seats, they do not have any public bathrooms. I wish I knew that before I sat down and ordered a feast. They advertise a TV being available but, they were showing cartoons.

This was my first time trying Harlem Shake and I went with my husband and kids. We got classic burgers, Patty melt, mama fried chicken sandwich, regular fries and truffle fries. The regular fries were $3.75 and the truffle fries $10- truffle fries definitely not worth the $10. You can barely taste any truffle and it had garlic in it! The burgers were good, chicken sandwich had a fried green tomato in it came with a special sauce so that added a lot of flavor to the sandwich but otherwise it was a little dry. My husband got the patty melt and of course I had to try it, I think that was probably the highlight of everything. It came on rye bread and it was delicious. I was too full to get any shakes but definitely want to go back and try them. The inside of the restaurant has old school diner vibes but there wasn’t any seating available. There was plenty of seating outside and even though it was cold, they had heated seating which was great.

DO NOT ORDER IMPOSSIBLE BURGERS HERE. I was sent a regular beef burger. When I called the manager demanded a photo, then said we weren’t on the same page and that I was definitely eating an impossible patty, despite me pointing out that there was gristle and fat in the patty. (Impossible burgers don’t have this.) Really disappointed as I am a vegetarian and expect better care when I spend so much on a treat. Just editing to say it adds insult to injury to be told multiple times you’re wrong. Again, I sent pictures of the gristle in the meat—and accidentally took a bite and this tasted nothing like the many Impossible burgers I’ve had in the past. Here’s a pic of the grease and gristle. But thanks for going out of your way to insult me again!

I want to start by saying that I truly truly was excited to have my meal and enjoy the food. I've been meaning to support this business for sometime and was so excited to enjoy my lunch w. a friend. We ordered the Hot Mess w/Beef, Harlem Jerk w/beef the Jerk Fries w/Jerk mayo and the regular vanilla shake. All items ordered unfortunately arrived not as advertised. Both burgers were missing the essential part of the burgers that gave them the name/price. the jerk burger arrived without the jerk fries and jerk sauce. The Hot mess had no hot mess relish on top and although we requested lettuce on the burgers they arrived with the lettuce shreds everywhere else in the box except on the burger. We basically received the basic Harlem shake burgers but paid extra. I also ordered an additional side of jerk fries and curly fries arrived instead-- I was not able to enjoy the food itself aside form the wrong orders because the food arrived cold and the cheese on the burgers were not even melted so im unsure if the food was cooked fresh or just put in the box after being pre made. I ordered this meal with uber eats and it arrived almost an hour late so unsure if the temperature was an uber issue. The fries were definitely pre made and somewhat stale because they were hard to chew. Lastly the vanilla shake tasted more like milk than the blue bell ice cream that was advertised. Not sure if they put enough ice cream and rather filled it up with ice and milk. I really wanted to support this business and maybe I'll try the Harlem location in person on a different occasion, but I am truly disappointed in the results of this order and was looking forward for better service/food. Two stars are for the...

I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and a side of fries here recently. I dined in.

Ordering was convenient and nice—the cashier was very attentive and made sure I got what I wanted. I gave them my number so the automated system could text me when my food was ready… that was all great! No complaints against the staff or their work.

The taste of the food, however, was pretty terrible. It didn’t have any substance to it. The chicken was dry and flavorless. The lettuce was the cheap shredded variety that you get at McDonald’s or some other cheap, fast food chain. The bun was also pretty terrible… overall, would’ve much preferred a Popeyes chicken sandwich over this one. Seems Harlem Shake doesn’t prioritize good quality ingredients and taste… hell, if it was just greasier it would’ve been better!

The inside was cute—had that ole diner type feel, but you could also tell it was manufactured to appear that way and wasn’t actually authentic. Tons of famous peoples’ pictures hung on a wall, a play on the typical “[insert celebrity here] visited this location!” trope… but I don’t believe for a second that any of those individuals came into that location at all. Kinda a spit in the face to smaller businesses that really do get their notoriety from honest celebrity endorsements. Why does a Harlem shake chain location need to copy the authentic feel of the original location? They could have focused on making better food.

I will update my review once I’ve had their burger tho! I do have to say it’s what they’re known for, so I’ve got to try it!

Will update once I’ve...
