We love this place, the decorations all around, the food, and the outdoor seating*. We come here often late at night after work. I have even brought a colleague here during the lunch shift, which was a totally different (yet still great) experience. I love that Patricia knows us and immediately knows what we want unless we decide to shake things up. She is such a lovely, charismatic woman with great advice on all the food and drinks. Don't hesitate to ask her for help deciding! *Outdoor seating has changed a few times since we first started coming here. It still looks quite nice - better, even - but they downgraded from two large overhead heaters to only one. Expect your legs and feet to go numb over time if you're dining outside on particularly frigid days/nights for longer than 10-15 minutes. We actually prefer to sit in outdoor seating, but if there were heated flooring or at least heaters near where people's legs are, it would be top tier. (HINT, HINT ;D) Over the years, we have tried MANY things from the menus. These are just what I can remember off the top of my head: -Cheeses (Cypriot halloumi, Greek saganaki). -Dips and spreads (tzatziki, beet hummus, Medusa guac). -Sides (gigantes, lemon potatoes, spinach rice, Greek fries). -Share plates (Greek mac, grape leaves, falafels, spanakopita). -Eggs & Burgers (Greek Shakshuka, Medusa Burger). -Platters & Meats (halloumi, falafel, moussaka, carne asada steak frites, etc). -Desserts (every style of loukoumades (tiny donuts). -Drinks (Espresso martini / donutini, caipirinha, mojitos, margaritas, several different cocktails, and coffee). Our absolute favorites (and what we typically come back for) are the Greek mac & cheese, the Medusa guac, any of the Halloumi dishes, loukoumades, and of course we always wash it down with either the espresso martinis or the donutinis. Three things to note: Speak up if they forget something or if they're busy & you need service (or else you might be waiting awhile - which doesn't bother us at night but can be problematic during the day). We have received the guac without the pomegranate seeds, loukoumades without the nuts, donutinis without the donuts, and the Halloumi dishes without the fig jam, but simply make them aware and ask for it. They will fix the issue. They also have a rewards program partnered with places like Miti Miti, etc. You can ask them about it or check it out on...
Read moreWe were wondering around Park Slope after running some errands and we stopped by this place called Medusa. I gotta be honest, the decor was not really inviting and the lighting was quite overwhelming, the layout of the tables were a little weird however we decided to give it a try. Our server was super welcoming and that is one of the reasons why we decided to stay. We ordered pretty quickly and our server was very knowledgeable, giving recommendations here and there and she was very patient. I don’t remember her name but we when on a Sunday, she was the only female server working, please kudos to her cause she did such an amazing job! We ordered the Chicken platter (with the lemon potato) and the Lamb platter(with sweet honey Brussel Sprouts), with some spicy feta. Let me tell you, everything was delicious! The food was worth it, the lamb was very tasty, the brussel sprouts were glorious with that brilliantly added honey, and the chicken was marinated and cooked to perfection, without mentioning how tasty the potatoes were, that citric flavor gives it a really fresh touch. The spicy feta was really taste although it could’ve been a little creamier but it was good enough! Please if you stop by this place give it a chance cause the service and the food is really good. Although as a piece of unsolicited advice, and I know I am sounding very entitled but just want to say it, please consider editing some of the decor inside, I see the concept, I see your idea and I love it, but at some point all the ideas get lost, and everything becomes a rainbow where every color is competing to show which one is the brightest. I love the mermaid skeleton hanging but the jelly fish right next to them defeats the purpose… I love the mural of Medusa as a statue cracking and revealing a new Medusa… That’s amazing! That should be the center of attention but it gets lost because there is so much going on. The lighting is too much, the entire place feels flat, like one note, with the correct light you can play with the geometry of the place and make it even more interesting. Imagine what you can do with a more interesting place + the amazing food you already offer ! But again, this is just a thought from a random costumer. Thanks...
Read moreSo just to spare you some time I’ll get right to the point and if you decide to continue reading then you’re a rockstar! THIS PLACE IS ONE OF THE BEST RESTAURANTS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD! PERIOD! Vibes Vibes Vibes. Ok now that we’ve got that out of the way lol…. My wife and i have lived in this neighborhood for quite some time and have walked by this place many times over. Well today we finally decided to shake things up and check out happy hour on a Monday which also happened to be our 2yr wedding anniversary. For starters any establishment that starts happy hour at 11am needs to be celebrated , let the fun begin. Walking up to the entrance we were immediately greeted by Alvero. We felt very welcomed, the energy & vibe was just right. Music was poppin the esthetic and decor of the restaurant is vibrant and fun. We sat at the bar and had drinks along with a delicious appetizer, WORTH EVERY PENNY🥳. Our Bar tender slash server Alvero made the experience a memorable one and left an impression that has us excited and looking forward to coming back. Medusa has lots of in door seating, a decent sized bar as well as covered outdoor seating. The menu is eclectic, many traditional Greek items with a modern twist. The happy hour drinks were good as hell. We can’t wait to come back for brunch and try everything on the menu 👏🏼. Thanks Medusa and Alvero for the amazing hospitality and good laughs, unknowingly you made our wedding anniversary a fun memorable one. Sanatra &...
