Homecoming — Restaurant in New York

Came here to grab coffee and came away with an EXTREMELY negative experience. I can not stress how rude and pretentious this place is.

After a brunette girl with glasses messed up my order and missed one of the drinks I ordered (which is fine, it’s the way they handled it that’s not fine), the scruffy blonde guy making the drinks implied I was trying to steal and finesse them out of a free latte when I asked where my missing drink was.

Rather than offering to ring me up for the drink they missed and correct the mistake, the guy making the coffees rudely said “…if you want a latte, you have to pay for a latte.” Like?? I know that… the undertones and implications were horrendous. This is just one example of the off-base comments made in this exchange.

I’m writing to share a distressing and dehumanizing experience.

While my toddler was clearly in need of the restroom, a florist barged in twice completely disregarding the urgency and vulnerability of the moment. Whether or not the restroom is technically private, the lack of compassion shown, especially toward a child in distress, was shocking and deeply upsetting.

To operate a cafe and invite paying customers in without providing access to a restroom is not only inconvenient, it’s inhumane. This experience left me humiliated and heartbroken. It’s something I will not forget.

I hope you take this feedback seriously and reflect on how your policies and staff behavior impact families. No parent or child should be made to feel unwelcome or ashamed for a need as basic as using...

A cute shop with beautiful glassware and pots for plants, and a great selection of live plants for the size of the store. I ordered the matcha latte with oat milk, and I was hesitant about ordering it but I did anyways. What I didn't want was exactly what I got. I understand that matcha can be a tricky drink to make, because you have to whisk the matcha well, but I could actually taste the powder of the matcha.
