Homemade Taqueria Kew Gardens — Restaurant in New York

We are regulars & have been huge fans of this location since their opening, but were very disappointed with an order placed today. Even more so with their lack of concern & customer service. The burrito ordered had spoiled rice & beans, the nachos order had terrible quality steak that couldn’t be eaten. It was just strings of chewy fat without any actual meat. I convinced my husband to get steak bc I just had bought steak tacos here over the weekend that were great but today’s “steak” was not the same. Completely understand things happen & food can go bad, but when I called to give them a heads up not to continue serving this rice, the reaction received seemed so indifferent & as if my call was bothersome. There wasn’t any ownership, acknowledgement or some type of apology for serving this to a regular customer that wasted money on dinner we expected to enjoy but instead had to throw out. Unfortunately we will not be ordering from what used to be our favorite Mexican local spot...

We have ordered here before but last night I stopped on my way home to get a bite and placed my order for pick up. When I got home I realized I was given the wrong order. I called the store and was told that they will deliver my order shortly. 40 minutes later the delivery guy rang from downstairs. Thinking that he will run it upstairs I waited 5 more minutes then went downstairs. My food was just sitting on a random table in the lobby. I picked up my food and had my dinner. My wife and I got very sick from the food. We we’re running to the bathroom all night and in the early morning I threw up what ever was left in my stomach. I’m having high fever and chills, still not able to eat anything. I have never got food poisoning like this before. Will not recommend this place to anyone who value...

Second time here because I enjoyed my food the first time. Unfortunately, this time I am not impressed and will not be back. I ordered a chicken empanada and a fish taco. I will say that the serving size was good. However, the empanada had a funny taste, probably from stale oil and the fish taco, didn’t taste fresh, and had no taste (even after adding their green hot sauce). I didn’t notice until I ordered that they had a Grade Pending, the order person could not/would not 🧐 say why. Also, after I requested the hot sauce, I noticed a sign on the door about pest control. All not good signs.
