The 6 of us came here for dinner. Waited 20 mins for our reserved table. Loud music and service was friendly enough. They do not do anything changes to any of their dishes. If you tell them to leave out the chilis, they will not. The chef doesn’t do any changes on spiciness. The lump crab rice came with 2 big spoon fulls of chopped red and green chili peppers that we had to spoon them all out. We don’t want to be wasteful, they could have just not put in the chilis as we had some people that couldn’t eat that spicy. Fried fish 3/5, pork ribs 3/5, Chiang Mai noodles 3/5, crab rice 4/5, mango salad 3/5, shrimp w squid 4/5, and 2 sides of cabbage 5/5. We didn’t realize the 2 sides of cabbage was $20 each or we wouldn’t have ordered a second one. It was so small, but was cooked really well. We have been to Thailand several times. Some dishes lacked flavor while some was too salty. They need to work on balancing the flavors. I understand the dishes may have pre made sauces, but when the customer says to leave out the chilis. It’s a simple request and there will...
Read moreA gem in Carol Gardens with unique dishes from bold flavors. There's lots of vegan options on the menu, and they get quite busy so reservations is definitely recommended.
Leng zaab: The pork is super tender and the spicy sour soup is super refreshing. Even thought it's spicy, the fresh lime really cuts through. A recommended dish to accompany some of the more spicer/stronger flavor dishes.
Kang Khoong: Spicy and bold flavors with meaty mushrooms bites. This unique dish isn't shy about its shrimp component, you can really taste it in every bite.
Kua Kling: Super rich sauce that really hits you with deep complex flavor. A subtle notes of sweetness really helps round out the dish.
Was recommended the Kai Jeow Khoong Sub (omelette) to pair the curries and I can see how it would compliment really well. Will be trying...
Read moreI was really looking forward to this place being a big “ugly baby” fan. While the food was not on par with ugly baby it was still good and packed with flavor. However, the experience was just horrendous. Service at a restaurant normally does not bother me as long as the food is good, but I guess there is always an exception. It took us 45 minutes just to get waters. When the food finally arrived they did not bring all the components of the dish. It took us another 30 minutes just to get the bowl of rice. I should say though I don’t blame the servers - they had one person bussing all the tables. This is not a review to critic the food or the people who waited on us - this is a request to the management to get their act together and learn how to run a restaurant...
