A new stylish barber shop that is needed, is open in Carroll Gardens. I went last night for the first time for an overhaul. My experience and no expectations were greeted with the most amazing care.

The no attitude zone of spacious shop has a killer atmosphere, subtle cool style and a complimentary beer while you wait is urban zen.

They also text you to remind you of your appointment, the care and the attention to detail is astounding.

I was taken care of by Tony who has great experience in cutting hair. He utilized a buzzer, free hand sheers and a razor to give my hair the texture it needed.

The products they carry are the most sophisticated hair care products in the market and is not carried by the most shops. They also have cool accessories that you need like leather hand made key chains to lighters.

I moved to New York in June and knew finding a barber was going to be a challenge. Thankfully, I walked out of Blue&Black with one of the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten! Not only is the atmosphere welcoming, but everyone I’ve interacted there is very friendly and know what they are doing.

They do an amazing job at making you feel safe during these Covid times and I really appreciate that.

My barber is Ryan Alexander and I seriously don’t think I can go to any other barber ever again. He knew what to do with my hair, he focused and dedicated his attention to making me feel comfortable, and you can tell he loves what he does. Also, we have good conversations!

I couldn't say enough great things about getting to have my hair cut by Allie Asghar. I've relied on her to help me through growing out my hair for a few years now and she's gone well beyond just cutting my hair by teaching me how to best care for it and always making me feel so comfortable with how my hair looks when I'm leaving. Which is a wonderful relief with all the nervousness people share in how they look immediately after haircuts.
