I want to begin the reason for my rating is due to customer service from 2 specific people (Lizeth & Ever). Not the overall food quality, building quality or other servers - which everything was great! This rating is due to them not having customer service & being a team within ihop.
Principle: Denying my refill & for how uncomfortable they made me feel after the situation & laughing out loud as soon as I turned my back to walk out the building.
Details: My original server Sandra (attentive & really kind) was finishing her shift before I could finish eating & I wanted to make sure she received her tip for taking care of me so we closed the check so I can pay & was told I can continue to stay & finish. I purchased a refillable strawberry lemonade. I asked Ever who then asked Lizeth about me receiving a refill after my check was closed and denied me. I couldn’t understand the “rule” according to Ever why I couldn’t have my refill although I was still in the building the whole time since my check closed. I was told I had to buy a new one so they can be my server. It came off as they weren’t being a team to support Sandra customer. I find that type of customer service selfish. I didn’t ask for food or anything else during my time from them, just a refill I paid & was entitled to. Although I asked for a manager prior & was told no one is available, Lizeth finally made me the drink after me asking repeatedly. She decided herself to call a manager in front of me. So I stayed, I spoke to Maritza & she told me they should have gave it without question. I advised Maritza how embarrassed I felt being denied & not understanding “this rule” (Ever claimed) of the situation for me to get a refill while other people were eating & I recommended she have a meeting with her staff so they are all on the same page about customer service, as a team they should assist each other & the refill ”rules”. As I was leaving they hung up the phone & started laughing out loud dramatically while I walked out & looked back at them - disrespectful.

The waitress took my order, she had no clue what a medium well done burger was, she brought my beverage 15 minutes before my food arrived. When she brought my food over she just placed it at the table and never came back once to see if I was ok out of I needed anything else. She was far more entertained with the table with 6 people I’m sure they were going to give her a bigger tip. As you can see from the pic, there must have been a French fries shortage in the kitchen. Read moreThe server Lizeth is very unpleasant. She does not greet you or say a word when she approaches the table. She comes to the table, says nothing, does not make eye contact with you, and looks down at her iPad while assuming you will automatically tell her your order. She then stares at you in confusion when you don’t say anything. I would at least expect a “are you ready to order?” But nope not a single word. She also does not check up on you at all while you’re eating. Not a single “is everything ok?”. It’s difficult to get her attention to even get your check, because she sits in the booth towards the back and once again, does not check up on you.
