Ordered Paneer Makhani to-go, and what we got was utterly sour creamy tomato puree as gravy with few chunks of paneer that overall tasted horrible. Called Restaurant, spoke to Varun about the distasteful dish and he was like it happens so what? Couldn't believe my ears how casually he took the disastrously cooked dish and without any regret. Well done! This is what you get (a bad dish) and expect (no apologies or refund). Keep up the bad job and good luck! Adding reply on response from the owner: Your employee who answered the call on Aug 30' 2021 gave his wrong name as if he was working in an offshore call center. Snapshot of call record is a proof it was Jassi's Fine Indian Cuisine at Union Tpke who didn't heed to the complaint on the night it made a disgusting paneer makhani. Not accepting or acknowledging the mistake and simply wash away hands from the accountability is a norm of Indian restaurant. Your reply goes against the reputation your place has. Instead of inquiring your staff, how could you just post an absurd reply. We paid the restaurant to buy the dish, it wasn't a free charity meal.

I m originally from Mumbai an when it comes to Indian food honestly I never like any Indian restaurant in nyc coz the Indian food here don’t even match close to the authentic food of India . Also I m a good cook , Today I was in the neighborhood of Great Neck an craving for some Indian food , Looking at the reviews I was not sure abt the food quality , I must say Jassi fine Indian cuisine prove me wrong , Excellent Food Quality , Butter Naans were so light an Fresh out of tandoor. I never eat Naan , today I eat 2 Naans all thanks to Jassi Restaurant , the quality an quantity of Food just shocked me . They truly deserve 5* Rating . Will surly come back an recommend anyone who is a Indian Food Fan 👍👍 Thank you.

We went to Jassi’s today and what a horrible experience. Started from checking our vaccination status. We had show it twice, I guess the employees doesn’t communicate with each other. The wariness lady was really rude, loud and unprofessional. we ordered our food, nothing was up to its mark. The gobi manchurian was burnt, when we told they send us another dish, it was uncooked, we can still taste the raw batter. The chicken 65 was sour and spicy. All the other food was as bad, even the garlic naan was burnt, not sure if they heated up twice. Will never go here again. There’s so many other great Indian restaurants to go.

Hello,

Just wanted to share something interesting with you. Since you know I'm often on the move, this particular place has become my absolute favorite, especially when I find myself in the bustling city of New York. Being a Missouri native, I wholeheartedly appreciate the comforts and tastes of home, especially in the heart of such a dynamic city.

This place, my "go-to" spot, serves up some amazing food which is truly a feast for the senses! The unique flavors, splendid aroma, and the warmth of each plate tells a different culinary story, making every bite absolutely blissful.

But what truly distinguishes this place from others and endears it to me so much is the top notch service that it provides. Their staff members are exceptional, attending to every detail, anticipating needs even before I express them. The squad here genuinely goes above and beyond to ensure everyone's dining experience is memorable, putting up a stellar show of efficiency and warmth.

Oh, and don't even get me started on the ambiance. It’s par excellence, offering the perfect setting to enjoy the delightful culinary experience, always making my visit worthwhile. And just like one visits their happy place to feel content and at peace, I gravitate towards my "go-to" spot whenever I am in New York. It's as if this place pulls me back, again and again, not only with its food and service, but with a profound sense of familiarity and comfort that I associate with my home back in MO.

I guess it's true when they say that you can take a person out of their home but not home out of a person. It's this very essence of home that I’ve found in this place and hence, it has become such a pivotal part of my experiences in New York.

Sorry for rambling, but this place just has a whole lot of my heart! If you ever find yourself in New York, do not miss out visiting this incredible spot - I promise it’ll be worth it!

Stay safe...

Horrible experience. Never been here before but I had a craving for samosa so we stopped in with hopes that they would have some on their buffet. They did not, but we still decided to stay anyway, because by that point we were quite hungry. I suffer from allergies to certain peas so I ensured that I ask the staff if any of their food contained those peas, the gentlemen pointed at all but 1 and said that was the 1 I should stay away from. So I did. Immediately after putting a spoon of the tikka masala in my mouth I felt an allergic reaction coming on. I went to the bathroom to rinse my mouth out. Upon my return the waiter informed us that they cooked their masala with nuts (which is strange because I’ve had masala various times from other places, and nuts have never been apart of the ingredients). Needless to say I have a serious nut allergy, and could not finish my food - which they still charged us for. In retrospect, I should have also mentioned my nut allergy, but for whatever reason I took it for granted that bc nut allergies are so common - that if the food had nuts it would be stated somewhere on the table. There was no sign up, and the staff did not not seem very empathetic of the situation. I made sure to politely let them know that’s a huge liability on their hands if someone walks in there and falls into anaphylactic shock due to their negligence. The 1 star I gave was because we were seated quite fast. But overall, this is not a restaurant I’ll be...

Had the lunch buffet today. The salt level was pretty high for some dishes and pretty low for some other dishes. I really liked their mixed veggy but due to extra salt I had to calm it down with dal and achar. The worst were the sizes of their plates. I've never been to a buffet where the plates were SO SMALL that you couldn't fit all your food there and constantly had to get up. It's a buffet style, the plates should be a little bigger to fit your food in. They tried to be smart so people don't waste food but it's pathetic because it's a buffet and many customers would NOT constantly want to get up to try all the dishes. One would be just wasting plates at the end of the day just because they would hate what they picked and they would leave it on the table for the waiter to take it away so they can get another plate to try a different dish. Now that's wasting food +plates. I felt that the waiters hardly knew how to speak or understand english because they never bothered to say you're welcome when I said thank you every time and seemed confused if I asked for anything. The positive side was that they came to check up on me and refilled my glasses. The restaurant itself was beautiful. It's good for a...
