With so many options available in the area, I feel there’s really no reason to come here. It felt like a comedy of errors unfolding in real-time. While systems are designed to avoid single points of failure, this place seems to have multiple points of failure—and we witnessed them in execution. Some orders made it through, while others were inexplicably dropped from the system even after being repeated several times. When we asked about the difference between the regular pau bhaji and the Honest special pau bhaji, the waiter replied, “There must be something different between the two, only the chef knows.” As it turns out, the difference was cashews and raisins in the bhaji—an unnecessary and gimmicky addition. Both versions of the bhaji were unimpressive. The fried rice was stale and overly spicy, even after specifically requesting they be made non-spicy for the kids. The dahi vada was dry inside, and some of our “cocktails” never even arrived. The abysmal parking situation does not help—though that is of no fault from this establishment. The good among the chaos - the Hakka noodles and sizzling paneer were flavorful. Wish all the dishes were at this grade. My honest opinion of HonesT - avoid.

I recently visited herefor lunch, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I feel it's essential to share my feedback to help others make informed decisions. Firstly, the pizza I ordered for the kids was hard as a rock. The texture was completely unacceptable, and it seemed like the pizza had been overcooked or improperly prepared. Despite my request to return it, the staff did not address the issue or offer a suitable solution. Furthermore, the taste of the Manchurian dish was downright awful. The flavors were off, and it lacked the authentic taste that one would expect. Additionally, the veggie rice served was disappointingly old. The rice grains were dry, clumpy, and had clearly been sitting for a while. It was evident that the dish was not freshly prepared Customers deserve a better experience, especially when dining out. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my recent visit. Its used to be a good restaurant but they are ducked up now. See how they served piza with cheese 😂 . Who soever is running this restaurant should close it and invest in something else

Updated 6/21/22: This place was great before pandemic, the service and food went nose dive right after. The old owner must have sold the place, very evident as soon as one enters the place and tastes the food. Post pandemic I went 4 times thinking maybe last time it was their busy day but no every single time i was disappointed. One time i ordered butter masala dosa and they served us masala dosa with 2 frozen dollops of butter sitting on top of dosa, we laughed so hard! New cook doesnt even know what butter masala dosa is!! The final nail to the coffin was when they served us spoiled milk coffee and when we showed it to them, after few mins server came and said if u want you could drink it, it wont be added to the bill, omg he wanted to serve us spoiled milk coffee free to get us sick! And every-time after pandemic we saw all new faces, new servers under training who doesnt know how to take our order and how to enter it into their device. I really liked the food here before, new cook doesnt know how to prepare many recipes on menu, tried all my favorite food, Grilled sandwich, masala dosa, idli, chinese dishes. None tasted like before. Quality of food was 100x worse. So disappointed to lose my fav restaurant. New owner totally ruined Honest Restaurant’s reputation.

Old 2019 Review: Omg finally I found my favorite eatery in all of New York! It has got everything i crave for and perfect authentic Mumbai street food taste! I totally recommend Honest restaurant if you are missing indian street food! Customer service of Deep was A+++, she was very sweet, friendly and attentive. And keep some room for Qwality Icecream next door! i have been missing desi Kulfi In variety flavors and they hv got it all! Omg i found heaven on earth! I wish they had a location around Jackson Heights, Queens... lot of people in Queens n Manhattan are missing this amazing food cos Long Island is...
