Kate's Corner Cafe — Restaurant in New York

Hi, I'm Trish, I live right up the block from Kate’s Corner Cafe. I have known her since she graced Astoria & Long Island City with delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches and omelet platters. Every time I go there, I order everything so mouthwatering that I want to order for three or four people. Very professional personalities are great there. Everyone who works there is exemplary. Kate is very down-to-earth, warmhearted, and friendly to everyone she needs. They get the orders done as soon as possible, especially for all of those working people that go there that have only so much time for lunch. Her business has expanded to one of the colleges in the area. Oh, to top it all, she does catering. Yes, did I tell you she also has a food truck? And to top it all, she does catering. You know when you’re driving to a new area to work and you want to grab food real quick before you start.

This is how I found out about this place. Automatically was driving by to go to a different place and saw a few workers waiting in line to grab some food. So I’m like “you know what let me stop here”.

Once I walked up to the cashier I knew I chose the right spot. From the amount of options on their menu I would say it’s a good amount but not overwhelming.

I decided to get the French toast breakfast sandwich. And when I say that Sammy was busssssin. It was so good!

Whole time im like yeah I have to go back. Noticed they closed at 2pm and finished my day job by 1:30 and rushed back over to get the no. 7 which is a chipotle chicken sandwich on ciabatta. Didn’t disappoint at all either.

Not only was the food great the owner and the staff was amazing.

This place does breakfast and lunch And has great prices.

They do their own roast beef on premises. It was perfectly bloody and just out of the oven when I had it there last. Boars head is ok when it comes to roast beef A real Deli cooks their own and does it bloody the way this place does!

If you work in this neighborhood you know there’s not too many options in walking distance.

I made a mistake asking for empanadas and they said go nest door. Then said they wouldn’t have hurt feelings I I went next-door to grab something there instead.

The staff is helpful and friendly and gets you in and out quick.
