Astoria Pizza Factory proved to be a hidden gem for authentic New York pizza without battling Manhattan crowds. Tucked away in the vibrant Astoria neighborhood near LaGuardia, this no-frills pizzeria delivers exactly what you're seeking – classic NYC slices done right. The white pizza is a masterful blend of creamy ricotta and melted mozzarella, perfectly balanced without being overwhelming. But the real showstopper is their pepperoni pizza, featuring those coveted "cup and char" pepperoni that crisp up at the edges – a hallmark of superior NY pizza craftsmanship. The crust deserves special mention – thin, golden brown, and achieving that magical balance between crispy and foldable that defines true New York-style pizza. It passes the fold test with flying colors, maintaining its structural integrity while allowing for the traditional New York fold-and-eat technique. The staff's friendly demeanor adds to the authentic outer-borough experience, proving you don't need to venture into Manhattan for top-tier pizza. Whether you're grabbing a quick slice or ordering a whole pie, Astoria Pizza Factory delivers the genuine New York pizza experience you're craving. 5 out of 5 slices - A must-visit for pizza enthusiasts looking for authentic New York pizza in Queens.

This pizzeria is inside a shopping center in the industrial portion of Astoria. This is an old school NYC pizza place constantly being undervalued among other Italian establishments in Astoria by the local residents as the average age of the residents are getting younger. The place is great for thin crust pizza and traditional hot plates, such as sausage and pepper or chicken parm, if you crave them when you are in the area. The staff and the owner have been there for years, and it gives you a sense of family-like warmth every time you visit, like the other Astoria old shops, such as A&F, Rosario, or Sal, Kris and Charlie.

Wow, super impressed with this spot! Pizza slices are more expensive that other slice pizza joints ($3.50-$5 for a slice) but it’s impressively delicious. Their cheese pizza is excellent and has a perfect ratio of cheese to sauce. The crust isn’t too crisp and has a good chew. $3.50 per slice. I suggest getting their chipotle chicken pizza. This is incredible. Piled on with chicken and toppings, this nicely spiced slice will be the best thing you eat that day. $4.60 per slice. I also suggest their plain garlic knots. 6 for $2.50. Incredibly garlicky and soft!

I am a total fan of your place. I really love the pizzas, calzones and pastas. My wife really likes your salads and my 5yr old loves your garlic knots. We’ve been going to Astoria Pizza Factory ever since we discovered you, abandoning our old go to pizza joint with a similar name. But that’s not what I’m writing about. On Monday, July 25th, my daughter and I decided to have a slice of pepperoni (her favorite) and a couple of garlic knots at your establishment as we have done many times in the past. My experience that day changed my mind. My family and I and some of our friends that we introduced to your place will not set foot or order from your restaurant again. There was an older gentleman, Hispanic with white hair, manning the register. He was speaking to a customer across the counter and to my amazement, he reached over the register, grabbed a fork from the utensil tray and proceeded to sample the pasta from the containers you serve the customers from. He didn’t bother to serve himself on a plate. He just repeatedly stuck his fork into the container and continued to eat the pasta, dipping his dirty used fork over and over, without realizing what he was doing. I know I will never come back to Astoria Pizza Factory or order from you again. This isn’t intended to get anyone in trouble but it looked like it wasn’t the first time he’d done this but more of a regular occurrence. It seems that management or ownership (which could be this gentleman) doesn’t care about customer service and improper sanitation in a restaurant by...

My review really has to do with a food place that obviously doesn't care about their service to their patrons. I have ordered about 4 or 5 times from this place and I won't be ordering again. How many times can you order a pizza with extra sauce and cheese and only be givin that on your first order but, not on every order subsequent to that one. Its simple, you pay for somethimg and repeatedly get cheated is nonsense; where is the need for that? Its been paid for. Why the hell is there a constant confusion? Leads me to believe that the mindset is... who cares. Guess who... Me. Too bad, nice guy who takes my order by phone and nice flavor pizza, for that they get one star. Guess they must be taking in the money for this kind of service to be standard from them. Thought they could be my go to pizza place, guess not. It's not like you didnt get...
