They make the BEST gyro I’ve ever had in my entire life of trying gyro. They also make the best deli sandwiches I’ve ever had out of all typical deli-bodegas. Gyro is one of my favorite foods. I’ve been in NY all the my life and I spend most of my time in the city for school and work. I’ve tried gyro from over 25-30 gyro carts. I’ve tried so many because it’s the most affordable lunch you can get on a strict budget in the city. I’ve probably tried 5-7 gyro places in Brooklyn and Queens, mostly from gyro carts. I was a little frustrated with them because their menu lists they sell samosas, which is what initially came for but they don’t actually sell them. Nonetheless, the owner Sam and his sons are the sweetest, most professional and courteous people you’ll ever meet. They make really amazing, fresh sandwiches too—especially their Philly cheese steak hero sandwiches and chicken sandwiches. They’re also very generous and accommodating and add whatever you like on your sandwiches. They care very much about customer satisfaction. Food from their deli is always always fresh.
I just had gyro from them for the second time and I can’t contain and get over how good it was. The chicken was PERFECTLY seasoned and cooked. They add their own concoction of some special sauce, white sauce and hot sauce. The rice taste amazing. Usually when I get gyro the rice is pretty bland tasting and they attribute the great taste to the seasonings and lightly salting the rice. I highly recommend it if anyone’s looking to try freaking amazing NY food/gyro
And omg, BEST...
Read moreWhen I tell you absolutely never again. I mean NEVER!!! First off the chicken over rice on Ubereats is $17.99. I figured since it was abnormally expensive it had to be amazing. The pictures and reviews made it seem like the best deli ever.
The chicken over rice was drenched in white sauce and hot sauce. So much so each bite no matter how much you mixed it around was dripping with sauce. Could not taste the rice or the chicken just a mouth full of sauce. 🤮
It truly wasn’t edible. Other images of this meal displays this sauce soup perfectly.
The Philly cheesesteak wasn’t tasty as well. I paid $1.50 for extra cheese and there wasn’t any extra cheese but definitely extra everything else. So much ketchup and so much mustard. It completely overpowered the sandwich.
It wasn’t just me who hated the food my fiancée hated it as well. She did not finish her food and neither could I. So disappointed! My total came out to $50+ for trashhh!!! Don’t waste your money!
I’ll upload images of my order bill...
