Kumo Sushi — Restaurant in New York

Although the sushi is always good here… unfortunately they have now shrunk their rolls. They are small and not happy about it.

There is no one ever dining inside. So I don’t like how the waitress was just standing in the front staring at us as we are eating and she’s waiting for us to finish. Had the last sushi roll in my mouth and she comes over and asks me if I want anything else while I’m freaking eating!! I hate that. I also hate that the second you grab the last sushi roll she comes over instantly to take your plates away!!! That’s not good service at all. Give me time lady…just leave the freaking plates on our table let us swallow our sushi rolls .just give us space and give us some time…why are you in a hurry for us to finish/ leave when there is no one else dining inside????

Extremely Disappointed and Frustrated

We ordered lunch for delivery, and the experience was awful. My rolls tasted old and watery. I called to complain, and they told me it would take over an hour to fix the order because they were “busy.” They also said I could come pick up a refund instead.

My coworker, who had the same issue, went to get the refund — only to be told they wouldn’t give it to him because it “wasn’t described properly” during my call. That’s ridiculous. We were both working and couldn’t eat, which is why I made the call in the first place.

To make things worse, the manager was extremely rude, saying he didn’t care, was too busy, and that no one else had complained. Completely unprofessional. We’ll never order...

I was never seated or ate here nor would I. I asked if they had gluten free soy sauce in order to cook my meal with and the hostess/waitress just said no with arms folded like I was bothering her. Everything got repeated back to me like " Can you make a dish with Chicken, vegetable, rice noodle, and spices (instead of soy sauce). Mind you her english and understanding was perfect. She had attitude when I requested a chef, manager, owner (anyone but her) It looked like the chef was chowing down and disinterested. I left and went accross the street to Sushi Village and although they also didn't have soy sauce for me they were very gracious and made me a very tasty dish.
