Bamboo Garden — Restaurant in New York

I had a very disappointed evening after purchasing two servings of roti and goat curry along with 5 extra roti and one mixed fry rice. The goat curry looks like it was tomato paste and a little curry add and the goat meat was hard. The taste was horrible and few of the roti was cooked until it burned. I right away call and a lady answered the phone. I told her that I am a regular customer and I am so disappointed with my order. She was disagreeing about the food and even said that she tasted the curry and told the chef it was the best curry she ever tasted. She even bought a serving for her son to take home. We had a back and forth conversation which I told her I know what is curry and I came from Guyana she told me she was from Guyana too. I asked to speak to the owner but she took my telephone number and told me she will call me back.After waiting for few hours I decided to call and to my surprise the said lady told me it wasn’t her i spoke with and the owner is out for 3 months and ended up telling me the said scenario that she brought the curry for her son when tasted it was the best curry ever. I told her it would be the last time I would be buying food from that restaurant. She to me that l have to bring back the food with all the meat in order for a disision if i will get a refund and they will have...

My 2nd purchase of 8 Chicken wings with Vegetable Lomein & not receiving what I paid for. 1st time I received 7 wings, unfortunately I was at home when I found out. I didn't bother contesting it. Now this 2nd time I complained in the store to the cashier lady about my previous experience and was told, "if the wings are too big.. you only get 7". I said Ma'am but I paided for 8, smh. This time around I only receive 6 wings even tho I paid for 8 wings again. I immediately brought my order back & showed the cashier. She then said they only sell 6 wings & never mentioned anything about 7 wings. Lucky, I was not by myself & someone was there to confirm what was stated by her upon purchasing my food. But because the damage was already done I returned my order & asked for my money back. I can't deal with a dishonest business practices & they are Lucky I don't report them to BBB for unscrupulous busines tactics. Charging someone for a service and not providing it is unscrupulous & false. You guys need to do better for the next customer. They have the worst customer service ever. Like they want you to pay for whatever they give you with no regards to what you ordered. Absolute last time...

Was on the hunt for traditional Trinidad 🇹🇹 corn soup. Considered to be an after-party street food in Trinidad, by which corn soup is rich, creamy, utterly satisfying, nourishing well seasoned with pigtail and delightfully filling. Was recommended this spot by someone who apparently has no idea what Caribbean cuisine is. I requested a small portion of their corn soup. What I got wasn’t what I’m used too. I ordered a small bowl and was expecting a scoring steaming piping hot bowl that would take me back to the streets of San Fernando on Jouvert morning. The bowl was filled with raimen broth and some strange stringy protein which looked like jelly fish, at the bottom of the bowl was corn kernels. It looked like egg drop soup with corn. I asked the cashier what was this? She said it’s corn soup with chicken. I said “hell no it ain’t”. In all, the decor was run down, the pastries weren’t appealing and the atmosphere felt like it was dying of a come back. .....
