The Original Pizza of Avenue L, INC — Restaurant in New York

Large cheese pie: this used to be my favorite pizza place idk what happened. Maybe cost saving has led to cuts in the original ingredients or seasoning. But there's clearly a difference in taste. I had to season it just to eat it & it still didn't work! This is not good. I wasted a cheat day meal. It used to be so flavorful what happened???!! So saddened that I couldn't even eat or enjoy the full pie with friends. Please Whatever changed whether it's the seasoning or the tomato sauce 🫙 something is definitely different and you can taste it. Hopefully they improve and go back to the great pizza they once were. It was very blanddd. Wow a what a huge difference in taste. 😩 I won't be ordering here again. Some of these reviews with a 5 star are clearly off bc It's no way we can be talking about the same place. Im convinced they know the vendors and are boosting reviews with inaccurate ratings. I know what their pizzas used to taste like and what it tastes like now. It's dropped in quality and is blandddddd. Cutting corners to save cost...

I want to start by saying that this review is not based on the food items in their menu.

Last night we flew in and immediately called to put in a delivery order. We were on the phone with the person taking the orders for a few minutes. We were told that our food would be delivered between 35-45 minutes. My husband called 40 minutes later to ask how much longer it would be until the food was delivered. The same person that took our order answered and when asked by my husband how long the food would take to get delivered, he answered that they had no order and that no one had called to put the order in. My husband went back and forth with the person who answered and eventually gave up.

Their service over the phone was disappointing and even though we really wanted pizza, this is not a place that we will...

The pizza here is average,nothing to brag about. But one time A coworker and I decided to eat here and upon placing an order my coworker asked for a beef patty and the guy behind the counter became irate and yelled back at my coworker if he wanted a beef patty he should go to Caribbean bakery!! Funny how at the time other places already had beef patties on their menu. Why get angry when neighborhoods change & so do your clientele...either adapt with change or go out of business. Ironic that this place now sells beef patties 🙊 but as for me they lost me as a customer for life. How rude to speak to people in such a degrading manner. They should save their pennies and move to a neighborhood where there are more of the type of customers they are comfortable with...
