LENNY'S GRILL AND DELI — Restaurant in New York

Disappointed once again and now never going back again. I placed an order for four sandwiches last night. I asked for them to be separated into 2 sandwiches per bag. Of the 4 sandwiches two of them were identical and one of each should have gone in each bag.....and all sandwiches were requested to be on garlic heros with no tomatoes. What I got in my bag were the 2 identical sandwiches, pretending to be on garlic bread, loaded with tomatoes, missing lettuce and none of the dressing that was supposed to be on the sandwich. The cheese was just a whisper. It is my fault. I should have learned from the last 2 times when I ordered sandwiches. I did not check before I left and they too were done wrong. Instesd I trusted the person who helped me. He said he checked the sandwiches and he packed them correctly. He did not. Was really excited to try the new place in the neighborhood. Sadly, we were disappointed and didn’t finish our food. We ordered a hero and chicken fingers. Both orders were wrong. Was given buffalo that I didn’t ask for and grilled chicken instead of chicken cutlet on the sandwich. The chicken fingers were rubbery and soggy. The chicken in the sandwich was also rubbery and the sandwich overall was lacking flavor. We were unsure if the chicken was cooked to temp because the texture was so off. It just tasted like low quality meat. Even the fries were lacking flavor. I gave 2 stars because they’re cheaper than cherry valley and open 24 hrs. I would say you’re getting what you pay for, but their prices are not cheap by any means. We didn’t call to complain or have food remade. We went elsewhere because that food went to the dogs. If I could eat Lenny’s sandwiches everyday I would!!! My husband and i order delivery or pickup constantly especially after a late night out and the food is always amazing. Everything from the bread the sandwiches come on to the fillings are always so fresh. The chopped cheese(add hot peppers) and the NYU sandwich are our go tos and just thinking about it makes my mouth water !! Not to mention that walking into Lenny’s is such a breath of fresh air considering how clean it is in there and how friendly the staff is !! I will never go to another deli again.
