I was incredibly impressed with the warm and hospitable atmosphere at the establishment, particularly with the cashiers who went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The food itself was absolutely delicious, leaving me with a sense of satisfaction and contentment. However, I did have a rather concerning experience when I ordered a bagel with cream cheese. It came to my attention that the individual preparing my order, while wearing gloves, unfortunately, pulled up their pants without changing or removing the gloves. To my dismay, they then proceeded to handle the bagels with the same gloves that had come into contact with their clothing.
As an observant customer, I couldn't help but recognize this as a clear violation of health codes and, consequently, an unhygienic practice. The potential consequences of such actions are not to be taken lightly, as they pose a significant risk to one's health. It is impossible to ascertain whether the employee had washed their clothes or where those clothes had been prior to their shift.
Given this unsettling experience, I firmly believe it is imperative for the company to provide comprehensive training to all their employees on proper hygiene practices and health code regulations. By doing so, they can ensure that similar incidents are avoided in the future, guaranteeing a safe and sanitary environment for their customers.
Regrettably, due to the concerns raised by this incident, I have decided that today will mark the final day I order bagels from this establishment. It is of paramount importance to prioritize food safety, and until I am confident in their adherence to proper hygiene standards, I cannot justify putting my...
Read moreSad to give this place a 1 start for service. Food is great and i've been supportive of their business for a long time, however when I called to dispute an incorrect order they were defensive instead of compensative. My boyfriend and I took the train from Flushing to get breakfast from this place and we made the mistake in trusting that everything was correct as usual instead of opening our two orders out and confirming they were correct. We waited until we got home to eat due to the poor weather and noticed the orders were incorrect. Of course after over an hour hungry and commuting in the rain, we ate what they gave us. When I called to bring this to their attention, they approached the matter in a "our kitchen is never wrong" way and when I questioned if they had cameras to prove my point they stated no and that I should've brought this to their attention in the moment. After requesting to speak with mangaement to further resolve this issue they stated managaement was not around. I'm confident with my decision in no longer supporting this busines and urge that they improve in handling customer complaints...

Service - 4/5 I came Easter Sunday around 12pm. The first time I ordered, they were pretty quick as no one was there. I had my sesame bagel with the TBEC and it was pretty dry but maybe that was my fault for getting it without cream cheese. It was well toasted.
I stayed a while and ordered again, but at this point it had become a little busier. Cashier was super frazzled and she took the wrong order so I had to correct her, which is fine, I get it's busy. But then the cashier seemed to have not put my order in, and I was waiting about 20 mins for just a bagel. I went up to the counter and after I told the bagel dude I had been waiting a while he made it right away which was sweet.
The blueberry bagel was very tasty and the cream cheese was delectable. It was also very beautiful to look at.
Overall, a good experience for a bagel....
