In reality, this park should be named the homeless park. But to tell the truth, I see a lot of young people who don't want to work. When the soup and free food cart came, the number of homeless people doubled. I don't know where so many came from at that moment. It was like a holocaust of walking dead or the Road to Terror. The elderly it is understood that many are disabled but most of them as I said are young people who just want to be on the street drug addicts and drunk many of them steal and sell the benefits of the state that they give in churches or help centers I say it because I have already seen it it is a reality ¿Is this your American dream? This is what you came to, did you go through so many things to end up like this? Is this the honor and respect you give to those of your nation? It saddens me for those who actually if they want to work, study and get ahead, migrants who want to overcome and do not read, give the opportunity instead these people should be deported right now and not thus dirty the honor of us from our country If you want to come here and end up like this or if that's the plan, it's better not to come. The fact that it's a free country and nobody says anything or gets bothered by your actions doesn't mean that what you are doing here...
Read moreEdit: They spent over a year from 2019 to 2020 renovating the park. It finally reopened in late 2020. They cleared the area where old people gathered to gamble. A ton of benches were installed. The playground has newer equipment. Ironically, they still didn’t put in a dog area, given the amount of dogs walking in the hood. And they could have added more colors to the park say by painting fences. Overall it is cleaner and nicer now. Raised to four stars from two.
Original review Too many jobless/homeless people who just hang around the park. There are also a lot of people who have taken to sleeping in the park. In one corner there's always a group of people who are probably illegally gambling, and near them is always a giant flock of flying rats that some people have the great sense to feed daily with bread and what not. This neighborhood is overcrowded, needs a bigger park like the elmhurst park (irony that THIS park isn't called that). I'd totally support tearing down a block of buildings to make room...

Playing Basket ball and volleyball are most frequent sport. Seniors are getting sunshine. The cons- Homeless people frequent this place and even lives here with their push carts filled with recyclables. Eventually, sometimes you have nowhere to seat because they are sleeping on the bench including the drunked individuals. Overall, everybody comes here and they never complained. WHO DOES? The place was kept clean by the park attendants. Feedback of 3 is my personal opinion. But wherever you go watch out for...
