I used to love this place when it was part of Cositas Ricas however, after going there today for my beloved buñuelos I am highly disgusted and disappointed. I went in there and ask if they had a menu. The person I asked did not understand what I said at all and had to ask someone else who also could not understand them finally someone understood and they said no which I find highly unusual as theyâre a bakery and should have a menu of some kind! I then asked about their oatmeal frappe that was advertised on the wall and again she didnât understand what I said. I said does anyone speak English here and they said no they then attempted to get someone who spoke English. What I was disgusted about is the fact that they canât speak English at all!! This is a place of business in a country where English is spoken. Although it is not the âofficial languageâ it is the main language spoken and taught in schools etc... how are people who do not speak Spanish supposed to order?!! I speak Spanish fluently but refused to order in Spanish out of the pure shock and disgust that they could not speak English at all and expected everyone that entered to speak Spanish! I said to them what if the person speaks a completely different language like Chinese or Russian whatâs gonna happen then they canât order?!!! They should just have a sign on the window saying âSpanish speakers only or people of Latino origin only!â Oh no but they wouldnât be able to do that because thatâs discrimination right ?! Ah but they are discriminating by only hiring people who speak Spanish only! Itâs a shame because theyâre baked...
Read moreI have always enjoyed eating at this coffee shop and I believe they have the best coffee in queens and I been on a quest for the blend for years (lol). This was the coffee shop that took me away from Starbucks. Theyâre always inviting and warm even when the line is out the door. They make an attempt to accommodate every seating situation. They even have a line Director to keep the pace and respect of waiting customers by keeping no-line jumping policy as strict as possible. Itâs one or the best mom and pop shops around and Everytime a I have a visitor I take them to Pecoshitasâand theyâre immediately blown away! The ambiance, the love of culture (and understanding and helpful assisting me in speaking correct sentences in Spanish when ordering food). I love everything about this place. They understand that people work hard for their money and Pecoshitas puts in the effort to showcase the best representation of their products to the public which demonstrates that they not only have respect for their customers but takes in personal pride in what they do. When you walk in the door you can see it and feel the love and pride.

Pick up was scheduled, yet they kept me waiting, when I asked the girl#2 to check on the girl#1 who went to check on the cake like 10 min ago, she told me to go to the back & wait to see her. đ± Meanwhile no one was on line & was by the cashier doing nothing. I'm 15 min in by now, my car is parked illegally as I'm watching my car not to get a ticket, lady #3 mops over my feet. đ€šI say "wow" she says she didn't mop over my feet & I say "right, so now I'm just making it up", she was too close for comfort & indeed noted over my feet...ugh... The cake had an error, they didn't write Dr. for doctor, they wrote D.R & lady#1, as she saying it's the way it was written she's showing me the receipt that's written Dr. !!!! Then wouldn't fix it! I moved the .(period) myself.
Too much of a hassle to deal with such unprofessional people, which is sad because they all sucked & the cake was good but not out of...
