This is a great old school luncheonette/diner. They don't have a booth only seats. The service is great. They are friendly. The food is great and prices are great as well. I got a BLT. That's the thing I always order at a new diner. They make a perfect BLT. Their coffee is strong and really good. I don't have a bad thing to say. The neighborhood really needs a place like this and I'm happy that they have one. Actually the only minus is the HUGE step to enter is definitely not good for wheelchairs or seniors.

I’ve been ordering here for years. Last night I made a order last night of a turkey club sandwich for my husband. Upon taking food out bag we notice small flies in sandwich. I call and ask to speak to a manger and was diverted to speak to the lady who takes orders. She insist they don’t have flies. So where did they come from. Pic shows one of the few flies in the tray moving around. Never again.

philly cheese steak wrap ($10) was drenched in oil, the meat had no flavor and there was hardly any cheese. the belgian waffle with turkey sausage ($11.90) was small, swerved cold, and overall just looked like a very sad dish i also got an egg cream soda for $3.50 would not recommend this place. cant believe i spent almost $30 on such unappetizing food

Not happy with this restaurant. I requested being seated to order my meal.

Due to COVID19 rules a table was not available. Customers were seated at the available. So, I waited at the counter for at least 30 mins. Two women came in who apparently knew the staff were at the counter. I assumed when they gave their order, that they were picking up their order.

When a group of customers left, the 2 women who came in after me were seated.

I told the waitress, who was about to serve them, that I was there before them. She told me that they made a reservation before they came in.

I felt that I was invisible.

I decided to leave although by that time I was really hungry, but before I did, the 2 women got up and said to sit down. They realized that what she did was incorrect. I appreciated that.

And on top of that the breakfast sausages were crispy and weird. I have been to much better diners and treated with respect. The waitress could have at least explained to me, when we were all at the counter, that they had made reservations.

I personally did not believe her. The 2 women at the counter were speaking Spanish which I do not understand.

I will never patronize City Line Cafe again. City Line Cafe was much better years ago under different ownership. What I ordered was much better...

Walked in and it was so dark and rustic. ..I'm new to the area but they looked at me like I was an alien, because they didn't recognize me. I didn't really smell one particular type of breakfast because it all just smelled like food. I couldn't identify what was in the air. Everything was over priced ..like why would I buy two eggs no toast for $4.95 +tax. Everything is plus tax. I asked for a great tea, they didn't have any at the time on top of it being over $2 +tax for a small cup-_- what's that about? Not too thrilled about this place, I guess you have to have been born in the neighborhood and grew up around the food to enjoy everything about this place. Not welcoming to new people....and I leave tips when service is great but not when everything taxed, the service is mediocre, the place is rustic ( not purposely ) and you can't smell the deliciousness of cooked breakfast. "What are they doing back there" EAT at...

This place is the worst. Every time I go there or order from there they have a different price for the same thing I always get. At times I ask for 2 eggs on my sandwich which they charge extra for the second egg and I still only get one egg. Today we order from there, they forget the drink and screw up our order and forget to send toast. Then when we call back to complain they go and say "we'll your address is blocked for delivery we shouldn't have been to your address." This is news to us as we ordered something just 2 days ago online and had no problems except for being over charged for extra egg we never got. I won't be ordering from here any longer, since this place changed owners it's been terrible and they've definitely lost me...
