Inedible food and rude manager
I recently visited Los Dos Hermanos with high hopes of enjoying a satisfying meal. Unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant, leaving me with no choice but to share this disappointing food review.
The steak tostadas were a complete letdown. The first bite alone was enough to discourage any further attempts at consumption. The meat was poorly seasoned and the texture was disappointingly chewy. Tasted like there was teriyaki seasoning? It was evident that minimal effort had been put into preparing this dish, resulting in an unpleasant and unsatisfying experience.
Dissatisfied with the quality of my meal, I approached the owner and kindly requested a refund. However, to my surprise, their response was anything but accommodating. The owner displayed a rude and combative attitude, refusing to honor my request for a refund. Despite having taken just a single bite of my meal, I was met with an unwarranted lecture about how I shouldâve known the quality of food when I ordered it. This complete lack of customer service and understanding left a bitter taste in my mouth.
I must express my utmost disappointment with Los Dos Hermanos. The unappetizing meal, coupled with the owner's rude and unprofessional behavior, has left me with no desire to ever return to this establishment. Not only was my dining experience far from satisfactory, but the lack of empathy and refusal to address my valid concerns truly marred the overall impression of the restaurant.
I caution anyone considering dining at Los Dos Hermanos to think twice. Save yourself the disappointment and frustration by exploring other culinary options in Fort Greene. Based on my regrettable encounter, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this...
Read more10/10! Food was flavorful & authentic, the frozen margaritas were perfectly balanced (not skimpy on the tequila), and the service was exemplary. For apps, my party ordered the chips & guac, chicken flautas, and chicken mole tamal. The guac was very flavorful, and the chips were freshly fried; they came out warm & perfectly salted. The flautas were the BEST I'VE EVER HAD; no joke. Usually, the chicken inside of flautas is on the bland side, even gamey at certain places, but not these; these flautas were fresh & full of flavor on the inside. The chicken mole tamal hit all the notes I hoped it would; hearty, with complex flavor notes (warm spices, slight sweetness, nuttiness, smokiness; I could go on & on). For entrÊes three of us ordered tortas/sandwiches (1 steak and 2 chicken milanesas, with yucca fries); all carefully crafted, proportioned, and well-seasoned. The other member of my party ordered the churrasco de pollo that was presented beautifully and was also full of flavor. The frozen happy hour margaritas did not disappoint either! Our server, Rosario, was warm and accommodating, and the owners are the sweetest! It's refreshing to see our people (black & brown) own and operate successful businesses in our now heavily gentrified neighborhoods; one of the owners attended the JHS right up the block! They have live music on Friday nights, and on warm evenings, their outside dining area is the perfect escape from the bustling Dekalb Ave. traffic. Needless to say, Los Dos Hermanos is...

I'm not exaggerating when I say that this restaurant has set a new standard for excellence for me. From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the attention to customer satisfaction, detail to decor, and commitment to quality food and drinks.
We were welcomed to sit comfortably while waiting for our table. During that brief time, we had the chance to take in the decor and meet the owner and his wife. It happened so casually and genuinely! Made us feel like VIP. My friends were visiting out of state so it was important for me that They have a good time! And they did. We did.
I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the menu to find that it was a tablet! Very helpful for those like myself who find traditional menus challenging to read!
The food was sublime. I had the Elote and Al Pastor tacos. My husband had the churrasco steak and eggs and my friends had the chicken burrito bowl and the Pulpo. We demolished our plates.
The bottomless drinks, were great quality! Not watered down like other places!
The service was impeccable, the atmosphere was warm and inviting... the list goes on. I genuinely couldn't think of a single area for improvement.
If you're looking for a dining experience that will leave you feeling wholesome, and eager to return, look no further. This restaurant is a true gem in my...
