Placed an order via phone. Woman on the other end said "Lucky Star". One would assume, that means I called the right restaurant and NOT grubhub. Apparently not.
Whoever answers the phones here, a woman, is extremely RUDE and thinks lecturing customers on how to place a phone order is appropriate. There was a delivery issue and my driver was sent about 15 minutes in the opposite direction from me. No big issue. When I asked her, repeatedly, where my food was she thought it was appropriate to not answer my question and to continue lecturing me that I did the order wrong, talk over me, and how I needed to call the correct number, ect ect. My question was a simple one. "Where is my food?" Had to ask her 3 times before she decided to answer and when I got my answer I promptly hung up because I don't need to be talked to that way.
Also, they decide to charge extra for certain items after an order is placed and call back asking if it's ok to charge extra like you really have a choice at the point. That should be expressed to you before you order because I would have ordered something else or called another restaurant that's not as greedy.
Save yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere where they treat paying customers with respect and don't yell at them over the phone. If I'm going to spend $50 on food, I'll order from a better quality restaurant where they're not going...

For about five years now, Lucky Star has been my go-to spot, with weekly splurges of $20-$30 on my beloved 3-6 trusty dishes. As a creature of habit, I know what I like, and Lucky Star delivers—literally and figuratively—fast, tasty food that hits the spot!
However, I've noticed a recent hiccup in my soy sauce supply, with my bags brimming with duck sauce instead. Is there a soy sauce tariff I’m unaware of? It’s a mystery!
Now, let’s talk delivery. I live in a nearby multi-story building, home to 80% senior citizens—trust me, it’s a safe haven! My neighbors at Circle Pizza, Estrellita, Step In, and Brisas Express have no qualms about delivering right to my door. So, Lucky Star, if I have to get dressed to stroll down to the lobby, I might as well just walk to you!
I hope you can step up your delivery game, as I’ll be exploring other Chinese restaurants in the...
Read moreThe food is good, not great, but I stopped patronizing this establishment altogether the last time I called to place an order. When I provided my address, the person I was speaking to said that I would have to meet the delivery guy in the lobby of my secure elevator building. It was not the first time I had been told this when ordering. Other times I was able to run downstairs because my young children were not with me or my husband was home. However, this time I was alone with them & requested that they deliver to my apartment because I live on the top floor & had my children, one of whom was napping, with me that I would need to dress bring along, but the guy said no and hung up on me. Have not ordered from here since and would not advise anyone else to. I started ordering form Chan’s Village on Metropolitan and haven’t...
