Sirenas 2 Mexican Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in New York

This is a long over due review. I had enjoyed many many lunches/diners at this place. My kids love it, my husband loves it. The popular fast dishes are perfect; tacos, tortas, tostadas are delicious. The chef’s specialities are amazing! They have traditional food from all over Mexico. Mind you I’m Mexican, so I know about this.

They also have the best seafood I have ever had. I never thought I would recommend seafood at a Mexican place, but it is their best. Their salmon, Sinaloa shrimp cocktail, shrimp soup, octopus ceviche, I’m getting hungry just trying to remember all the dishes I have had there.

You know when you grow up eating this type of food, and restaurants always feel like “nah, my grandma’s is better”, not this place. My grandma would love this food.

They also have Mexican singers or mariachi during the weekends; it could be a little loud for younger kids but enjoyable. My kids love mariachi now.

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would. Last time I ordered from them, there was shards of glass that look like it was from a beer bottle in my food. I contacted the restaurant and there brush me off saying they don't have glass in there kitchen, I request to speak to the manager and they said there's no manager there. I ask them if they can do something about this , and they said they couldn't do anything. I'll shop there again, and I suggest people to check there food before they eat it. This is because they have staff in the back drinking beer and they don't care what they put...

I truly recommend this restaurant. This restaurant serves good, fresh food. They serve you a big portion of food. Our meals were serve like art. I could tell the cook loves his/her job. I brought my family and we loved it there. The waitress was so friendly and really did her best to meet our needs. Going to that restaurant was the icing on the cake and truly made it a memorial event...
