Beware of price baiting and misleading price manipulation at this location.

My attempted purchase was at 11:11am on Sunday, September 13, 2020.

My father (age 86) and I were running morning errands and he wanted to get a bite to eat, so I suggested McDonald's. We approached the drive-thru window and saw their digital menus displaying all breakfast (not lunch/hamburgers), including a featured special of 2 breakfast sandwiches for $4.

When we tried to place our order the drive-thru employee said that "No, the offer ends at 11am."

I took a second look at the digital display and saw in the lower left corner it stated "For Breakfast Only" and had no mention of an expiry time. I mentioned that to the employee that their entire menu features all breakfast items, and they insisted "the special is no longer available."

So, we drove away without purchasing and I called the location and spoke to Rayna, the manager on at the time. She said her "supervisor makes the rules and that she couldn't do anything for me," and that "she only works there."

As a resident of Forest Hills for 18 years, I often take my senior parents to McDonald's when they visit, and they look forward to enjoying the tasty and affordable choices, breakfast especially.

I am deeply disappointed in how this location in particular charges higher prices than the McDonald's location just 3/4 miles away (which. by the way, features the 2 for $4 breakfast special until noon).

If the special expires at 11am, that is fine, as long as the digital sign states the expiry time or they remove/replace the image with a different special.

I am posting this complaint to Google, Yelp, NextDoor to warn my neighbors that this McDonald's location is price baiting customers with specials to then turn around and not honor them.

Shame on the owner of this location to permit this misleading price...

Okay, I've been going to this mcdonalds for 8 years. And I have to say. This is the the literal worst food establishment I will ever have the pleasure of going to. I avoid it as much as possible myself but living 2-3 blocks away from it I often find myself walking there to pick up food for my family. First off let me just say, that the food quality is often the worst of the worst. Even for mcdonalds standards. Food items are often oily and smashed together, the fries are not fresh and soggy more often then not, and there has been at least 100+ instances of me or my family missing various food items from our order. The drinks are often diluted too. I do understand I frequent this place going at least once a week for my family. But these issues are very reoccouring. Employees are often very rude as well, I went in today after a 6 hour, very early in the morning flight so my family could eat, and I was being as politie as humanely possible only to have to wait 5 minutes for someone to come up to me and the uber drivers to check what mobile order I have, and then have her give me a massive additude (complete with teeth clicks) for no reason. I've worked fast food myself and I understand employees are over-worked and underpayed. But, again this isn't a stand alone incident. Employes are often very very rude. I have to give a solid 5/5 rating to the McDonald's on Metropolitan Ave because my experiences there have consistently been top-notch. Here's why:

First and foremost, the staff at this McDonald's is exceptionally friendly. Whether it's during the busy morning rush or a late-night craving run, they always greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome. That kind of warm customer service is something I truly appreciate.

Now, let's talk about speed. The service here is lightning fast. No matter how busy it gets, they manage to keep the line moving efficiently. You're in and out in no time, which is perfect for those days when you're on the go.

But the real kicker for me is that my food order is always spot on. I can't stress how important this is. It's frustrating when you have to double-check your order every time you visit a fast-food joint, but at this McDonald's, they consistently get it right. That's a big win in my book.

So, friendly staff, quick service, and accurate orders – that's what you can expect at the McDonald's on Metropolitan Ave. If you're in the area and craving some fast food, this place definitely deserves a visit. Five...
